Kingcat162, we would appreciate if you told the whole story about this. You were sent a product that was not suppose to get into a box, which I explained to you. The man responsible was let go from our company 6 months ago. Unfortunately there is still inventory that we cannot track or find in any way until someone brings it to our attention. You called and and we immediately found a new replacement and at your request sent it to the dealer you purchased it from. It was received 2 days ago by that dealer. We got it to you in the most efficient way we know how to. We apologized then and still do for the fact that you got an inferior product. We hope you will change your attitude towards this as things happen sometimes out of any persons control. The picture you posted is not representative of any of the products we sell and we take great pride in the fit, finish, and function of our products. We do not believe we will never make a mistake, but we do our very best to ensure that we make as few as possible. In the event of a mistake being made we always hope that the customer will notify us first and give us the chance to make it right. I don't know of any reputable company that just wants to stick it to the customer. Just patiently explain the situation calmly and without being hot and most any will do everything they can to make things work out. Good word travels fast and Bad word travels even faster. I hope you will make the time to put the correct pictures up and at least give us a fair shot. We want everyone to feel like they got a great product and are proud it is installed on their sled. shawn@mtntkperformance.com

ok so here's the whole story - I order a blowhole kit from the local polaris dealer in my town - take it home and open it up and it looks like hot garbage - call shawn at mtntk and tell how unhappy I am - I email him a pic of the hot garbage popcorn welds - he wants me to ship the crap one back to him - I already paid $16 shipping for it to come from rec supply in Saskatoon - I tell him I'll drop the piece of crap back at the dealer i got it from - so i did just that - then i ask him to put my name on the package so the fantastic polaris dealer can call me when it comes in - No response to that email - no phone call from the dealership - I call the fantastic dealership 2 weeks after i first received the garbage product and it's there to come and pick up- GREAT - I get stuff from the US on amazon prime 2 days air mail to the door - how hard is that? to make it right! A hat or a T-shirt would be great way of advertising your awesome customer service if that was the case - In the end I'm out 2 trips to the dealership and 2 weeks of time - time is money in my mind

Ok ive seen lots of post about this blow hole over time, now in my professional opinion IMO!!! its a really good idea to move that hot air out, But!!!! Where is this new cold air coming in. As some one that deals with air movement, air out needs air in. If my foot well is packed full of snow( what it is most days) where is this new air coming from. Over the engine bay, isn’t that heated air. Cfms out needs cfms in. Great ldea.... but need more cold air in the right places....

should draw in from everywhere that isn't perfectly sealed. Though if this is a concern, its easy to add a vent on the exhaust side that will draw fresh air in to the under hood compartment

I work in the customer service industry and get your frustration.....that said MTNTK and a pile of other small time introductory companies trying to supply quality parts trying to get past the initial start up costs and learning curves and into the money making side of business cannot be compared to the multi billion dollar amazon and 2 day shipping. Shipping sucks in Canada....The end. We pay too much and wait too long. But that's a fact of life. The fact that he didn't reply to a email is an issue for sure. But being on that side of the business I know how easy it is to get lost in a mountain of emails, and trying to put priority on which ones. Shawn in particular may be the only one looking after many many positions that may or may not be filled with other people in the future. This will all be determined when they run a budget around and see how many extra staff they can afford for the profit levels they are making and want to make. But he did send your part on the fastest route possible to get it from Idaho to Canada. Your part may have landed in Canada in 3 days for all you know but your "fantastic polaris dealer" could have been sitting on it without calling you. So chalk a week up to the dealer, and a week to MTNTK and I really don't see an unreasonable amount of time. Crappy situation for sure. But other than a email not answered I see that Shawn handled the situation right. And...your original call to Shawn....He may have made the assumption that you were from the lower 48 and not up here in the sticks and igloos up here in Canada. That was probably the reason for him asking it to be shipped back. As shipping in the USA is quite painless and inexpensive. Working on that side of things and attempting to do my best at running a small power sports shop down here in Southern Alberta I see situations like this from time to time. The way it should have been handled is through your purchasing agent ie "fantastic polaris dealer" they in turn would have dealt with their purchasing agent ie recreation supply....who should have had a replacement in stock and sent it prepaid asap from Saskatoon warehouse to your dealer. Then recreation supply would deal with MTNTK to get their replacement on the next shipment. Maybe its just because I've been in this industry for so long but that exact process seems like a no brainer to me. NO disrespect to you but I think you have forgotten we live in Canada, and 2 shipping from Idaho is not possible without a astronomical dollar value attached. And its unreasonable to expect anything better than that.

Did anyone ever make their own blow hole? i'm interested in getting this set up but have mixed thoughts on if its worth it or not. Most comments say it's not... I will have a new panel with a wrap on it and don't want to drill holes anymore on the sides. i have vents in the front but doesn't seem to move much air. Old thread so maybe someones got a used one lying around for a xm they would sell?
