Welcome to the club, we just came back from a few days just west of Golden at Kinbasket Lake Resort. Only logging roads there, but beautiful scenery.

I agree, go with experienced riders who will help and show the right and safe way to ride quads, nothing worse than doing something new and getting hurt. Take care and have fun.

When we were at Kimball lake about 11 years ago there was no ATV's in Provincial park. I don't think much has changed since then. You would have to inquire about random camping in the area.
