Good Day All!

Has anyone been on this trail from the Gregg River Road area in the past few weeks? Heading out there for a week starting Friday and would like to make this journey. Any insight would be great!

We tried a few yrs ago. ruts pretty deep for our quads. Let us know. We went in about 20 yrs ago. Just a hose trail then. We had to make a route for the quads. Pretty wet and heavy willows in places

I live in Hinton and have been in to Mystery numerous times, although, I haven't been there since 2012. However, I have heard from fellow locals that a few new beaver dams have made the trip a real b!tch, bordering on not worth the effort. Good luck !!!

I have tried this trail as well followed 2 guys on horses even the horses turned back and they were 500yds ahead of us the ruts were pretty deep so we tuned back not sure how it is this year was thinking of trying it later on in August again to see if I could make it in,also make sure you r on the right trail cause not a lot of peeps know wich one it is it took a few days to find the right one you will have to cross water approx. 4to5 times before you even start to get on the right trail and there is only one trail not 2 so don't get BShttd,do let us know how you make out will be looking forward to hearing from ya Good Luck!!

smokinD, at one time, there were two different trails. I have used both. I can't speak for now, though. The ever expanding beaver dams have changed the access a lot.

Well we tried...I think...We were with a group that had side by sides and the one hill was the deal breaker for us. It was a goat path basically. Quite the decline for some of the inexperienced riders in our group. I may try once again if I am with my normal group of riders. Maybe someone can verify that I was at least on the right path??? Big hill??? Haha.

You can go in via that big hill, but you can also turn left onto a trail about 100 yards after crossing the river where the bridge was taken out. It's a trade off. Go in by the river and miss the big hill, but deal with more mud and water crossings or deal with the knarly hill but a little less mud and water. Six of one, a half dozen of the other.

I ventured down that trail too but there was a ton of deadfall last time. It was heavily rutted but if you had a big machine it was doable...Thanks for the tip!

The way in best is where the bridge was taken out came in the big hill way yes quite the decline with some ninety degree corners but made it,came out the other way approx 4to5 water crossings then cross a dry creek bed and you aint even halfway to Mystery I think that's is why they call it mystery hmnnn!! if you made it to the hill then cool but you still have a long way in there not sure how it is this year but you might get in but you might need a chopper to get out lol, thanks for letting us know though!!
