My 65 Calcutta cooler is the best cooler I’ve ever bought, tough as nails and holds ice a long time, and also insulates my food from freezing in the dead of the winter.

My big ass Igloo marine cooler still has ice in it after a long weekend. Fill em up on friday morning and they still have ice on tuesday afternoon so 5 days.

For an extra few days at about $3.00 a bag I can buy a truckload of ice for the price of a rotomould. Maybe if I was a guide I'd see the value, but I dont.

They are also considerably smaller inside from all the insulation, keep that in mind.

Unless you NEED ice for 7 days a regular cooler will work just fine.
I used it to keep meat frozen when on boat trips, or for extra frozen stuff when camping

So I bought two, because both were a good deal. I was originally going for a Woods 55 liter from Canadian Tire, because it came with a freezable divider, and a basket. Instead, I bought a 65 liter Kailani for the same money, in the same store, as they were on sale.
The smaller is a 25qt BMX, which I bought on sale at Home Hardware for $90. Best price I could find, anywhere.

The plan is to use the larger one more like a fridge, with a divider, using block ice on one side, and cubed with blocks and mix for drinks on the other. The small one will be everything in between.

I might do some experimentation and post it here. Haven’t decided yet.

Yeti. Picked up Big Yeti 2005. Looks like new. Works great. Heavy (30-40 lbs). Back then was like $250.00. Now who knows.

Check out V2 concepts on Facebook. They are out of Lloydminster here. They sell Tailgatrz coolers which I've heard great things about and seem to be pretty popular around here. They can also Custom make you a seadek pad for the top of the cooler.

Should do it anyway, I’d be interested to see how well it works. I don’t drink a lot of beer, but I enjoy my rum so on top of ice melting, it’s also consumed in drinks, that’s also a big part of why I wanted long ice retention.
