My 65 Calcutta cooler is the best cooler I’ve ever bought, tough as nails and holds ice a long time, and also insulates my food from freezing in the dead of the winter.
I used it to keep meat frozen when on boat trips, or for extra frozen stuff when campingMy big ass Igloo marine cooler still has ice in it after a long weekend. Fill em up on friday morning and they still have ice on tuesday afternoon so 5 days.
For an extra few days at about $3.00 a bag I can buy a truckload of ice for the price of a rotomould. Maybe if I was a guide I'd see the value, but I dont.
They are also considerably smaller inside from all the insulation, keep that in mind.
Unless you NEED ice for 7 days a regular cooler will work just fine.
Yeti. Picked up Big Yeti 2005. Looks like new. Works great. Heavy (30-40 lbs). Back then was like $250.00. Now who knows.
I like those coleman coolers.
Have some that are 20 years old, still going.
Not the kinda thing i use all the time though.
Maybe ill drill and spray foam it if i ever need ice to last a week
