OK boys I put my 2015 5.0L F150 super crew on the scales, it has the 36 gal fuel tank, fairly heavy sled deck. box full of junk maybe around 200lbs and 2 people. GVWR = 7070lbs, the truck on the scale full of crap ready to go but no sled, came in at 6100lbs, leaving 1000 lbs for sleds. So either I need to loose a lot of weight, ditch the wife (she doesn't weigh much and it would be expensive) otherwise it's a pretty fine line. in a pinch or around town I would haul two sleds and be OK for weight but on a trip with a ****tonne of gear I think I will use the trailer. Now can we close this thread

And FYI my heavy duty 5.7 litre dodge 2500 wasn't a lot better so those with cummins or any diesel 3/4 ton will be near the same

How do I get those numbers I can get the axle weight off the truck isn't that combined the same as GVWR???

If you add the front and rear axle weight ratings, it always adds up to more than the GVWR. Or said another way...the GVWR is always less than the combined rating of the front and rear axles. You cannot legally exceed any of the three ratings...its not just about GVRW.

My HD F150 has a rating of 4,050 lbs Front GAWR, 4,800 lbs Rear GAWR for a combined total of 8,850 lbs. The GVWR is 8,200 lbs...650 lbs less than the combined front and rear ratings. Payload rating is 2,700 lbs for Regular cab 4x4.

My 2013 ram 1500 Laramie crew cab with air ride suspension only has payload of 2000lbs.... Can tow up to 10,000lbs..... Deck and one sled, max

2015? Haven't seen one out yet, I thought feb was anticipated deliveries.

Do you know you can get to the following GVWR for 2015 when you go with the heavy duty package
- 7600 lbs with 17" wheels
- 7850 lbs with 18" wheels
So that would of left you with 1600 or 1800 lbs for sleds depending which wheels you had. So this shows that you can put a sled deck on the 2015 F150 with heavy duty package,

i was waiting for a while for ford to come out with those payload numbers. i had a 2011 f150, i put 2 sleds and a deck on it and i was 400lbs overweight at the scales, went to a f250 gas job so i would be legal, but now im confined to 17l/100km gas milage on a good day down hill. 23-28l/100km with two sleds on. factor in the amazing ride of the 150 and it only makes sense to switch back to the 150 and hd payload package

They really hopped up the 5.0 litre for this year 385 hp and 387 ft lbs of torque. Towing cap of 11,100 lbs
The 3.6 ecoboost stays the same at 365 hp and 420 ft lbs of torque.
Towing cap of 12,200 lbs
The new 2.7 ecoboost has 325 hp and 375 ft lbs of torque.
Towing cap of 7600 lbs
Ford is claiming a 3300 lb payload, but it's been reported that the only way that they'll be able to get this is with the Heavy duty tow package and V8 in a 2 wheel drive set up. Time will tell on this though.

Provided by Ford, seems too good to be true hey? I just looked at a few dyno's and seems as though they may be a bit optimistic on the low rpm's, which makes sense.
