Oh god not another ford ecoboost owner who thinks he can tow and has the same pay load as a 1 ton.. Jezzz lol.. You want a sled deck buy a 1 ton.. Make it safe for your self and everyone around you... Or just buy one of those aluminum triton 12ft trailers with a cover on it.. Weights next to nothing. And you can haul a sled in the back of your truck if need be..

so just for anyone who cares, today went to a loading scale with a guy at works 2014 f150, truck weighed in at 2800 kgs, sticker on door says 3326kg gvrw,

thats 526kg or 1159lbs......this is a ext cab, 4x4 with the 6.5' box

so he has a 7200lb gvw truck, here is mine 8200lb gvw weighs 6000lbs with 1/2 fuel back seat of work gear. Leaves me 1950 with me in it. Doable for 2 sleds probably, would I no. I would have zero issue pulling out a four place enclosed though. I pull a 9000lb bumper pull holiday trailer pulls great, better in wind than my 10 f350 was.

I rolled over the scale the other night on my way home from Revy with my 2011 F-350 dually. Loaded with Cross-Trax deck, 2 sleds (one Pro, one Summit 1000) everything was full of fuel, two bigger guys, and all the gear. This is what it looks like:

Front GAWR: 2694kg Loaded: 2440kg
Rear GAWR: 4082kg Loaded: 2730kg
Total GVWR: 5897kg Total: 5170kg

There's still room for an additional 727kg of payload. Even on sh!t roads, you can't tell the sleds are there...I'd be willing to bet it would be a different story on a half ton. My advice is to go buy a trailer.

Not trying to be a dick, but the dodge has the absolute worst ride. If that's the smoothest truck you've been in, you may have something wrong with your truck lol.

Not saying they don't look nice.

Lol what are you comparing that to, a chev? My 2012 rides way better than my 07, bet the new air ride is even better.

Well, considering he said smoothest truck he's ever been in, I would say that's a good comparison.

I would hope your 2012 rides better than your 2007, and would hope that the 2015 rides better than your 2012. They call it improvement.

Just stack some old hockey pucks between springs and frame...good to go!
It's a redneck lift.... Just to level truck out

Best thing is its not a lift, don't qualify as a lift so warranty and insurance can't byotch

Do it Larry

OK boys I put my 2015 5.0L F150 super crew on the scales, it has the 36 gal fuel tank, fairly heavy sled deck. box full of junk maybe around 200lbs and 2 people. GVWR = 7070lbs, the truck on the scale full of crap ready to go but no sled, came in at 6100lbs, leaving 1000 lbs for sleds. So either I need to loose a lot of weight, ditch the wife (she doesn't weigh much and it would be expensive) otherwise it's a pretty fine line. in a pinch or around town I would haul two sleds and be OK for weight but on a trip with a ****tonne of gear I think I will use the trailer. Now can we close this thread :)

And FYI my heavy duty 5.7 litre dodge 2500 wasn't a lot better so those with cummins or any diesel 3/4 ton will be near the same

Would you hit an axle weight limit loading sleds before hitting GVWR? Do you have those numbers?
