Hi Guy's, I'm new on snow and mud, have been on snowest for some years, I like the content of Snow and Mud, has got me interested in chatting to sledders again on line. I live in the Okanagan and sled locally I also take trips to Revelstoke, Eagles Pass and Enderby quite regulary. I started on a Mountain Max then to a 900 mod cat, Turbo Vector, Turbo Apex and for the past two years I've been riding a mod Xp 154. I love the Xp but I just can't get reliable hp's out of her or the torque, The 900 cat gave me a taste of power then I proceeded to the turbos. I have been studying the 09 M1000 162, It seems to be a popular sled for riders that are over 170 lbs and love high marking, boon docking and deep powder. I don't want a heavy four stroke or the cost of turboing one. How reliable is the M1000 and how much tunning do you need to do when riding 5,000-8,000 feet with the aftermarket pipe and fuel controller set up. I have experience tuning my sleds and enjoy doing it but at the same time I don't want a sled that makes me work too much on the weekend or costs $500 to chopper out of the bush. Any feed back would be appreciated.
