Rode a 14 today and it feels the same as my 13 when I got it, my 13 with the clutching I have in it now made my 13 much more fun then the 14 in stock form and much peppier, maybe the 14s come with different stock clutching then the 13s?

The start of the season is always a "refreshing" feel.
It's virtually impossible to compare from 6 months ago.

New 14? I agree with that! My 14 seems slightly peppier than the 13 aswell

Yeah brand new 14 163 SP. I still cant believe there is nothing I want to change. The new boards are the real deal, clutching is bang on, and it pulls alot harder than I thought it would. I thought I would be giving up power coming from my 2010 with a 14:1 head. Thing absolutely hauled. But Im sure this sled would out pull it hard. Even little things like the storage in the front and back. Love it.

I am surprised though by the XP haters jumping on them and saying they are a completely new sled? I find the handling almost the same as my 2010 with the S-36 kit? The XM still has the same negative handling characteristics of the XPs IMHO. But I have always loved the XPs.

I cant believe how hot they get. Was a really nice change from past summits. Great for drying wet gloves out.

Spent the day putting on accessories and understanding the sled and where everything is and making sure everything is tight. I do this with every new sled, I don't like to be the jackass that needs someone else to fix his ****.

Need to update tool kit for all the new size nuts and bolts.

Took it for a rip and I can't wait to hit the hills.

Braaaaaaap!

Well I put on some reversible scratchers on , moved the skis to the wide stance.

Till I get more used to it and before I switch skis with the xp 6.9's thought I'd try it wider.

Still way better on fuel than the xp even in break in mode.

Had to drill 2 holes.

There's ones for the springs all ready , then installed the clip mounts in the top rear idler wheel hole ( had to move the one back to work ) .

That's where my xp had them. Worked fine.

front and rear raptors, today i installed ice storm scratchers, oil tank sleeve, and mbrp can aswell

Just a question maxwell. Have you always rode with an mbrp can? I heard they were only rated for sea level? I switched to a TSS can this year because of that and also 2lbs lighter. What are your thoughts?

Do you think TSS or MBRP, the THING,, ext tune their cans for elevation?? Think you might be over estimating there engineering knowledge

Why do shops take baffles out of mbrp cans to ride at elevation? Reputable shops in Edmonton do this. I would think it would have to be for a good reason. Maybe for the highest flow possible?

You would want the opposite for elevation. The air is less dense so you would want it a bit more restrictive to maintain power.
