I heard of a handful of guys having issues with them melting last season and I think saw at least one guy post up that his dealer did it on the PDI. I figured I had the hood off already and had some heat tape so why not.

Also if I remember you're about my height (6'3") and I think the adjustable riser is just about the right height for trail riding fully extended.

Ya I think it brings it up extra 1.5 inches.

Going to try the bars stock.

Wife will ride it and or the buffalo once and a while.

She's short so needs them down.

Spent a little time in the shop last night. Did the BRP vent covers, adjustable riser, linq mounts, quick clickers, heat taped the RAVE covers, ice storm reversible scratchers, removed one set of bogie wheels. Tonight I'll do the grip n rip braces and Saturday go for a road ride with some cold friends.
Do you have a pic of how you mounted your scratchers?

Are the lower gnr braces just a bolt in or are you in for a lot of work?

It's fairly straight forward. Follow the instructions, and all will go smoothly.
The uppers are a little more work though.

You might want to get some fine mesh behinde the screens mostly the front one. You might get snow dust on your clutches and then have issues! I found that stuff cheap at frabric land!

you don't need any venting on the xm,s and any snow dust on the belt side will cause belt slipping.so make sure your all closed up.

Id rather deal with icing up than running no skid.

I have a grip and rip brace on the S module. I recommend that everyone with a XM gets one.

With a long open ended wrench, start on the clutch side and work your way toward the muffler side.
