Why does my little 2006 M7 Arctic Cat 162" STOMP the 2008 SkiDoo XP 800 154"

I ride with a bud who has the 800 skidoo xp and all i heard before we went out is how his sled will stomp my M7 700 arctic cat. I told him it will and should cause i am 285 pounds and he's 150 pounds soaking wet. His sled is pretty close to new only has 700 or 800 k on it and mine was at the time around 1400.

His is pretty close to stock only has a few mods, It has a pipe and can but thats about it.

I have a few more then his, i went to a 162 track so i figured i would need to add a few mods to make up for my longer track and weight. I have adjustable secondary, pipe & can, air box, boysen reeds and boondocker which i have never really used or set up, my boondocker is not pluged in.

Side by side to around top end we are pretty even but i pulled away just a little when we get to top end speeds. Remember i have 135 pounds on him and a 700. The 800 SKIDOO DOO i figured would stomp me, it didn't. I am a BRP fan and just ordered a new commander but the Xp 800 disappionted me.

So then we went out west by nordeg and found a few hills to play on and i out climb the doo every time. He claims it's my gearing cause i geared everything on my sled for trail riding not mountains i run crossfire gearing. But gearing or not my sled out does his hands down. Maybe in deep deep powder he will kick my ass but i really dont believe that.

Just wondering what everyones thoughs are on this. I put my M7 up for sale cause i was going to by a new Skidoo for next winter. LOL MAYBE I BUY A NEW CAT or polaris.

there could be a hundred reasons why. a properly set up '08 XP will destroy your little m7 every time. but enjoy your victory as it is rare....lol

Now that i find hard to believe and he rides in the mountains all the time and his sled keeps up with and from what i am told does better then most he rides with.

I'll put my '08 146 with only a camo extreme against your m7....and I'm not talking about climbing in nordegg

146 track to 162 track it should and i say SHOULD kick my ass but i dont think it will. I bough my sled with 9.5 hours on it and was told it was stock. It sure seems faster and stronger then any other 700 i have been on. I went up againt a built and i mean built 800 strom who won 3rd place in sundre snow drags last winter and i beat him, dont forget im 285 and guy on storm maybe 180 pounds. I figured a 200 pound guy on my sled would just rock.

And thats not the first 800 doo i have tooled by no means, his is just the newer better of them. LOL

this story sounds a little fishy to me.we need to here both sides of this story, being a former m7 owner and a xp,there s no way the m is even in the same class. power valves on the xp are probably stuck closed even then it would hand that m its ass.

Well i guess your 146 must be the best there is. LOL hahahaha my point to post was that i was disapointed in his 800. I guess there not all the same and i should find a few more to add to the list of being beat by a 700 cat and then be disapointed. I can walk away from any of the older 800 summits with easy so no point of even adding them to the list.

Maybe thats what it is his power power valves are stuck LOL hahahahah no there fine i am sure. As i said above i'm running cross fire gears which make my sled alot faster but it still out does his xp. I top out with gps not sled speedo around 96 mph. Not stupid fast but fast enough.

well, if handing your 700 puddy tat it's ass in the deep makes my 146 the best there is, then so be it....lol.

No one here is biting your hook so you should probably just tell everyone about the big bore sleeper kit on your sled then and stop making fibs up. A stock 800 summit will smoke your sled if it is really bone stock and you weigh 285. Nice try though, but I think your buddy let you win one so you could come brag on the internet. Is your real name Joey?

No big bore and the only thing i run is cross fire gears with boysen reeds, adjusable secondary and pipe and can. I have a boon docker but its not beeing used right now broke a wire. I have beatin at least 5 or 6 04 05 summits with easy. There not even close to my sled. Maybe i should check into my engine a little more. As i said i bought it with 9.5 hours cant remember miles but it was less then a 100.

Heading 20 min south of red deer to my buds farm in a few hours any one in the area is welcome to come.

Well maybe i will have to reconsider a new DOO i can get one at cost, same reason i bought my new commander i got it for a smokin deal and i love the BRP side by side.

Now i get why everyone so surprised when my 700 keeps up or beats them. Never been on another m7 and have never been sleding with any other newer artic cat.

Well my bud has a 800 159 i think assualt with lots of mods and he barly pulls away from me from top to bottom. Maybe its just my 700 then.

Im glad your mountain sled beats another mountain sled in a race.... thats like 4x4 ing in dodge vipers.
If thats what your concerned about... Give me a chain and a gear... and Ill make it 600 blow the doors off an m7. You have a ton of mods done to your 162... and your wondering why it stomps a stock 154.....

HAHAHAHAHHAHA i never posted that is what i am concerned about. If you even read my first post or the title its that i was disapointed in the skidoo 800. I planed on buying a new doo but theres alot of people who dont like the new skidoos. The fact my 700 beat the 800 hands down just makes me wonder if a new cat or polaris is in order. I just added the stomping part to get a few skidoo owners hot under the collar and have some fun with them. IT WORKED look at you doo owners go. LOL I proably will still buy a new DOO.

I think they all have there good and there bad points. I did always wonder why my 700 was a quick as it was. Just figured thats the way the 700 was. I guess its just fast and torky for a 700.

Oh and any thing i say to poke at others is stickly in fun. I'M SURE THE 800 XP is a great sled LOL

Oh and the xp 800 has a pipe and a can same as me. Only diff is i have adjustable secondary and reeds. Read the post first then comment. I have 162 he has 154 i am 135 pounds heavyer, he should stomp my sled into the ground.

Well i just posted this cause i was bored, LOL i have poked and said my part.

Why does my little 2006 M7 Arctic Cat 162" STOMP the 2008 SkiDoo XP 800 154"

This thread is so full of retard I don't even know what to type!

But ill try......

#1 - I can make a 500cc sled beat an 800xp in a race. I've done it. My 800xp tops out at 120kmh. Know why? Probly not.

#2 - nordeg is not the mountains. Try again

Fail

I was just saying... What is there to be dissapointed in? How am I hot under the collar... This is what you do to pass time, try and get people mad... then more the power to ya! Theres nothing to be dissapointed in!
1. Your m7 has ALOT more done to it than the xp
2. Your m7 is a 162.not a 154
3. Who gives a crap which sled wins in a race? lol... Why are you buying a 162 to race it anyways?
4.Follow that xp through the trees......
5. If your machine is the end all be all......Why consider anything else in the first place? Why do you need a new one for if you have an xp "STOMPER"

Yeah I think its prob in the xp's cluching my bro just bought a freeride 800 in a 136 2.25" track and my 06 M7 153 2.25 stomps it too. but he said he was reaching his rev limiter right away and wasnt letting him push past the 7900 rpm but felt he had more throttle to grab. I dunno havnt been out with him since they are easy cluches to adgust anyhow.
