I've seen some people have 2 types of pipes single and twin. Im just wondering whats the differences/pros cons.
So even with a single pipe, everytime I go to the mountains ill be adjusting my jetting bolt till i find the prime set?
Jetting tips, White on plug electrodes is BAD too lean, chared brown is good combustion, wet & black is too rich. Best time to check plugs is after good hard 5-10 second run. Another thing if the machine feels really good and snappy at lower elevation be careful once again too lean.
Sorry to hi-jack the thread. I just put my ported jugs on and Tom said I should go to 450's to start with, so I was going to try to dial in close as I can at home and let the DPM handel the hills.
The dpm should do that for yah.. But on the other guys sled (rmk 800) it doesn't have that.. That was a very nice feature that doo came out with..
I have been wondering for a while if putting a single pipe on a ski-doo with DPM is easier than other carb sleds. Is it usually the initial rejet and then forget about it because the DPM takes care of the rest? Looking at possible upgrades for next year already....
