I bought an iPhone on Rogers network as they showed coverage down by my cabin where the Elk river and Koocanusa meet. Took it down there and could not get service anywhere even when I took the quad out on the ridges looking for a signal. Finally I did a jailbreak on the iPhone and bought out my contract with Rogers and moved back to Telus. Telus had put in a tower up near Elko and that increased coverage to most of Koocanusa Lake and to a lot of the snowmobile area. I'm not sure if the coverage is complete but it is whole lot better than it was.

Depending on your carrier you may but more than likely you won't. Telus is the best but very sketchy off the highway. There are too many variables to list the where there is service and where there is not service.

Just think that you are in the bush and cell phones haven't been invented yet.....
