Spent some money on the Gator today.
Put new tires on it.
Went from the stock Big Horns to some Mud Lite 2's.
Also went from 26 tall to 27 tall and from 8 wide to 9 wide on the front. And from 10 wide to 11 wide on the back.

My nice smooth ride is gone. Looking forward to trying it in mud. See if it makes much of a difference.

Also sold the Big Horns today. Threw em up on Kijiji when I got home. Then out to the shop to put the new tires on. By the time I had all 4 on and finger tight some guy called for the big horns. So that was a quick sale.

Installed a momentary switch on my dash as well. So running the winch is easier and quicker then how I had to do it before. Needed the pendant. Which plugs in at the bottom back of the glove box. Can be a pain to get to most of the time.
And put a stop block on the winch cable. Always afraid someone will get their fingers pinched.

Productive day.

Bigger tires and I think I could put a lift kit on for more clearance. But that would strain the axles from what I understand.
These new tires gain me a half an inch in height.
I just got to hit the ridges faster to make it over lol.

Yeah I haven't seen another one out either.
A couple guys from work have as well. But one stays on the farm. The other is used for hunting. They dont use it like I do.

I do like the looks on people's faces when they see this thing out there. They look at it funny. Then comes the question. "Is that a John Deere"?

Here's a few pictures of what it gets to go through. This was all with the Big Horns.
Can't wait to see what the Mud Lites will do.
I do get winched out a lot. But to be fair I also pull my share of others out.

all part of the fun! the best avenue of less broken parts etc. is to winch out, as soon as you get stuck! you tend to break valuable stuff putting the peddle to the metal. have seen guys stuck just hold the go pedal down till they break axles, even heard of some hero throttleing down till the motor blew up, not the brightest light bulb in the fridge. i have broken a few axles n parts myself. gets expensive in a hurry!

have fun get out and ride, getting stuck is inevitable.

just a thought, have you used a bungee strap to hold your winch cable, it might save some up front plastic?

was also wondering why u carry 75 lt of extra gas? lots of extra weight?
