had no problem with the digital beacon, that was what i was there looking at, just got annoyed with the sales talk, used to get a guy to buy. it's like buying a new sled when you have one that works well, you do a lot of looking before making the purchase. after you wonder why you took so long. after making this post, had a few good people make suggestions on beacons. had 2 make fools of themselves and thus i would like to take there money, looks like there confidence is lacking. although i think i got them by the short hairs. looks like i could be getting a new free digital beacon, thanks to kgr and snochuck.

i know what your saying.

i have a 400$ beacon.

and some people give me the "oooooh you have THAT beacon........"

im comfortable using it.

it has 3 antenas digital.

i didnt spend 800$ but at the end of the day it will work.

i am short about 10 meteres in range and some fancy features that in the heat of the moment i wont be able to use anyways

so snochuk, you claim to have owned a sos beacon, why are you not all over this, a guy with your qualified opinion, not wanting to take some easy money. hmm what is your problem. are you a rhode island red. i will refrain from commenting on your previous posts, as it is pointless.

$10 per meter. or whatever $ you want. or would you prefer to just send $200 and call it good, rhode island red it is then?

well it looks like kgr and snochuck have left the house, must have gotten to hot for the stewing pot. throw a few names around and then leave, must be a rhode island red breed thing. are you a rooster or a capon

poo on that

seems you are hung up on the three word story! Not that that is a bad thing....

Man the riding is nice; snow is deep and generally forgiving. Just a little nervous about those slides that normally come down but are still hanging around this year.

Lots of scary stuff out there if one knows the local situations.....

Re: SOS beacons in the avy course.

I was teamed up with someone with an old SOS beacon. I found our burial in half the time it took him. He then used my tracker and got similar results. I believe he bought a new beacon shortly after the course.

Don't talk to me about ol' timers young fellow! Might be able to get you lost in the trees. If you were to get here on the Friday that'd be a great April Fool's trick.....hahaha
