BY SOME OF THE PICS, LOOKS LIKE THE BUFFALO LAKE BOYS FROM SASK WERE THERE....... ARE THERE ANY TURBO'S, OR ULTRA-CUBE ENGINES, OR SUPERCHARGERS ALLOWED THIS YEAR???

There was one turbo I believe, possibly two. I was expecting more.

Wetaskiwin sled drags incomplete....

So the final races weren't run at the wetaskiwin sled drags..... I've heard quite a few unhappy racers, that chipped in big money to run several classes making it to the finals, to have it cancelled, due to poor visibility.............. What now??? Will finalists all get their money back? Or race finals run another weekend? Or what?? Just curious

sled drags weren't finished, due to high windchill and very poor visibility..... Some semi's and finals not run........ What now???? Heard of several upset racers, that chipped out big coin to race several classes, and made to semi's or finals, just to have races cancelled...... Do finalists etc get money back or what???

They want to double the pot next year. Not sure how I feel about that. What if I can't make it next year? I spent a lot of money entering this race.

Weather just kept getting worse and worse. Track was becoming a sheet of ice, visibility was low and the wind was coming right at the drivers. Some of the cookie sheet racers were quiet concerned and rightly so. A good gust under thier sheet at 100MPH plus could make them a rocket ship, not a sled.

Drive home both days was an adventure itself.

In qualifying I took second in Improved 800. That old ZR keeps surprising me. In the 600 stock and Improved qualifiers I am either second or third in both. Was ony able run once in each class so who knows what would have happened in the other qualifiers. No results were posted.

think they should pay out on the days races...it's unfortunate and I'd be mad if that happened to me. You may not race next year plus the sleds and conditions change.

I agree with Sled Bunny, A lot of things could and will change by next year, and for sure it won't be the same 4 sleds in the finals.
They should take the payout per class, add it together, then divide it into the amount of sleds that were in the final race and everyone get equal amounts.

IMO if they burn the racers this year a lot of them won't risk attending next year.
Keep the paying racers happy and the next years racres will be great agian.

You would have had fun. There were lots of newbies and a few "red lights" that they let guys come back, cause they were new, and re-run. Very fair set up.
Maybe next year?

im pretty choked that the 2 day of racing got cancled, especially since i placed 1 in 500imp and 2 in 600 stock and also 2 in 500 stock with my little 2006 snow pro 440 i was looking forward to the final day, but now since it has been cancled i wonder what there going to do, if there going to re schedual or if there going to refund and give us our money back.
