what are the pro's and con's of the 11/12 Suzuki Boulevard M109R?

I found a few that are just calling me!......this seems to be a bad a$$ bike......torque monster! I have not heard anything bad about them......who has one? let me know what the pro's cons are!

I wanted to get out of the sport bike and get a cruzzer......but not a harley.....I think this 109 will kick a harley's a$$ from light to light and in the top end and sounds better! lol I think the harleys are like yamaha's......they had their day! lol unless they are a custom harley (or a turbo'd yamy lol)......those baggers are just ugly.....unless they pull the front wheel at the lights lol ok I probably opened up some hate mail coming but I could never buy a bike and ride it......it has to be one of a kind......not 10 on the same block like the harleys! sorry

M109 is a wicked bike. I have a rocket 3. 2300 cc and my buddy had one all piped and done. It was a close race with the triumph. And way less money. Super sweet Looking also. You won't regret it for a sporty cruiser.

Wanna be Jap junk. So many guys buy that crap or the Kawi or Yammi which is great cause there's always a bunch for sale cheap for the next NEW guy buying his first cruiser. If you wanna light to light bike, buy one , if you want a bike you can throw you shaver and toothbrush on and take off for 2 or 3 weeks, maybe take a passenger and put big miles on, buy the Harley. The 109 is ok for around town maybe a couple hours some where, but if you are riding all day in the rain or packing any gear or putting big miles long days, buy the Harley. If you're gonna be oe of these guys that buys a cruise and drives around town again and again and again, buy the V-rod, cool bike, useless on a trip , but ok for a townie one up rider. My suggestion, just buy the Harley or if you really hate the Harleys (ride one first) take a look at Victory, they're making some comfortable well equipped cruisers with some pizazz. Sorry bud, the 109, it seems to me is a wanna be in all categories, I can give you a llooonnnnggg list of guys who decided on a cruiser, bought a Jap imitation, got into puttin on some miles and ended up trading UP to a Harley. Think about this , how many guys when they were little sat around saying " when I grow up I wanna get me a Suzuki".

Decide because of the merits and capabilities of the bike, not your ego or your perceptions of the people that own them.

VRod useless on a trip?...NOT!

Summer Bike trip. BC to N Cali and back - Back Country Rebels - Forums

.no doubt...a touring bike is better at touring.
Apples and Oranges

Wasn't meaning to hurt your feelers. We've done that trip a couple times from Alberta, twice we travelled down thru Montana, Wyoming S Dakota then west from Jackson Hole out to the coast between San Fran and LA then up the 101 back into Canada. 2 standout rides are Beartooth Pass south of Billings to Red Lodge , 11000 ft summit , Teton Pass at Jackson 10000 ft summit and the Duffy Lake Lilooet rd from Squamish thru to Cache Creek. The coast 101 ride is nice but slow and always coolbreeze. A fun ride back into Canada also is the road paralleling the border from the coast, I think its hiway 22, Called the North Cascades hiway i believe. Nice ride then back up at Ossoyoos. So many roads, so little time.

No hurt feelers here....

I agree , too many nice roads and not enough time

Im guessing Gary doesn't plan on many long trips .
A muscle cruiser will probably suit him fine.

Cousin has the 109 and as stated above as a muscle cruiser it hauls. Only road the 109 a few times but compared to my faterinlaws plastic, phoney duals, gutless vibrating everthing is a parts upgrade Harley Ultra Classic......hands down for the 109.

Harley has a nice mezmorizing crest.

As an old gizer I have not outgrown my favor of crotch rockets....may be the reason for disliking Harley slugs.

There will be absolutly no appologies to the HD faithfull. :smiliestirthepot:

I have no issues riding with Harleys or guys with big ears, just the cost of the nameplate is huge! LOL
