Agreed, but I'm looking for a rocking chair type tour bike , I would jump on Marty's bike but not too confident in the economy.

I would like a rocking chair too but feel the same about the economy.

A valkyrie interstate or a tourer are a great low seat hight tour. I have 120000 kms on my standard have not had to do anything to it yet.

Ric, sent Terry a PM, haven't heard anything back yet. Lots of hold over Suzuki's at all the dealers.

Sat on a 2015 Yami 1300TD today. It didn't fit me very well either. The Stratoliner was nice, but out of my price range.

Not sure if youre still looking for feedback , but heres mine. I've had a few different bikes , to be fair the metric cruisers i've had were a while ago , but for any kind of long trips , comfort , storage, wind, bugs, etc, i find other than the Wing , the Harleys are still my favorite. Ridden quite a few late model yammi and suzuki cruisers and they are still copycatting and still behind. Nice enough but a couple days into most trips i think you see the differences. The Victory loaded vision and gold wings are awesome to ride but way to big for me , more like a cruise ship than a motorcycle. Picture of mine below , bought it new now has 73000 kms on it been all over the western states , down the coast hiway a couple times , alaska once , most with the princess on the back , motor all done by gasoline alley at 2000 kns never touched since, this is the second paint job , miles and parking lots were tough on paint. I had a couple softails, one the heritage but the bags don't lock and the ride is certainly harsher. Had a couple road kings and an electra glide but my favorite is still the frame mount fairing on the road glide. In the price range you mentioned i believe you'll find some good harleys with lots of trouble free miles left in them .

2009 Royal Star Venture, 22,000 km. Thanks Terry for answering all my questions about the bikes I was looking at.
