Few more pictures of the bed. All three pieces are removable. For day trips when I’m not using the bed I had the dog house beefed up with some supports and tie downs for cooler and camping stove/cooking box. I’m spraying the hole setup with the raptor bed liner kit and then cushions will be added after.

I did something similar and use an air mattress to sleep on. I don’t like the air mattress though, it allows your heat to escape out from under you. I freeze all the time. I am going to get a foam mattress

We were talking about this last night actually. My wife and I. She suggested the foamy. The same as we use in our bus for sled camp. You can roll or fold them up tight depending on which one you get.

I went with the air mattress for the size when it’s not inflated and that it doesn’t soak up water. But I think I will get a water proof foam made up. Plus the air mattress when one person moves it almost throws the other person off it lol

Air mattress with light roll up foam is the best . IMO

I have horrible luck with air mattresses. We will try it tho. Im really interested in the weight I shed and the increase in power. I think this boat is going to be a completely different boat.

I don’t think there’s an air mattress that holds air all night. I was going to look into those self inflating mattress

I got 4 single air mattresses from ct last year for Williston. Gave 3 to other guys with me to use. Of course the one I use wouldn’t hold mud let alone air. At least I had a sandy spot.

As I type this I’m sitting in the wapati giving er a break in.

Well I got er out on the river today for some break-in time. Only hiccup I had was my pcv cup and the way I had it tubed. Switch around some tubing and it will be all good.

It’s a completely different boat now. I kept the AA on it and for taking it easy I am really happy. Going up river I was 3150 to stay on step and that was with a nasty headwind. A very noticeable difference in power. A shout out to Ross for the tips and pointers. I ended up putting a brande new carb on the engine. The new carb also brought this rig to life. What a difference.
