Is there any reason one couldn't 86 the muffler on the MPI kit and run a straight downpipe like the others do? In the interest of weight savings that is.

yes you just have to have one fabed bolt pattern are not the same on the garrets vs the mitsu on exaust side.

So if a guy were going to build a boost it viper.....is there much room to lose weight anywhere without spending mega bucks? Im guessing lightweight battery, but after that are there any easy weight loss areas?

I think I'm going to find a scale for my nytro once it's in one peace again. Fredw, where did you get the scale from? As far a weight loss on the viper. I assume you could do any the thing that works on the cat 800
or 1100. I picked up a built nytro engine a while back that would look good in a carbon viper chassis.

Sled weigh in tomorrow evening at Morinville

Damn I wish my Nytro wasn't in Sicamous! I have never weighed it after many Mods!
In 08 After Turbo install and full Timbersled, still short 153 track and stock tunnel and Stock small fuel tank full of fuel it was 635.
So thats pretty impressive numbers on these new Vipers!

Very Cool. So at the end of the day what were all the changes you made? Parts pulled off, parts put on or changed, etc. I assume that's a 3" track?
