The Vancouver sports radio play by play guy is fawking annoyingly bias....

Rod Phillips is/was an Oiler fan to the core and sometimes would flirt on the side of bias, but this dude was blatantly whiney and miserable.... luongo was poised and skilled while Crawford was "lucky"..... the sedins are majical and toews makes up in heart what he lacks in skill....???????? WTF... it's guys like that that make me want them to lose.... I will try to get over my deep set hatred for the Canucks and be happy for the fans

I would not say Vancouver DOMINATED... they only held a 1 goal lead until under 2 mins in regulation.... Crawford had some nice saves but as much as I don't like Luongo he also did his part to keep them in the game when it easily could have been ended at any time in the first 5 mins of overtime.....

you are soooo right that guy gets under my skin!!!! holy fawk!!!! I just wanna stuff that mic down his throat to shut him up!

but back to the nucks point, like bogger said they got lucky, they played ok, got a weak goal early which ended up savin their azzes otherwise chicago would have won 1 zipper with a shorty, that would of been sweeettt. but probably the reffs fault for not calling them for touching the puck on a penalty kill, or maybe one of the guys looked at one of the suckdeens in a mean way that caused her to cry and not be able to see the puck through her tears.

The officiating was much better as both teams were allowed to play despite infractions taking place. I would rather have the teams win or lose the game instead of the refs doing it for them. Either way, win or lose I would live with it and accept our defeat if we played crappy. As for "putting it to them" hey you dont have to take my word for it as I have to admit I am a bit biased on this but go to TSN.ca or even on sports news and you will hear similar reviews. Anyway, here is to the next round and looking forward to more discussions / disagreements. :d:d

It's funny that you say that Refs decide the game by calling penalties. I'd say the player that committed the infraction made the decision. Penalties are part of the game, don't break the rules and you won't get called (usually).
Call everything and eventually the players will stop taking stupid penalties and just play the game. What they really need to do is eliminate 3 or 4 teams and cull the bottom 75-100 players that shopuldn't even be playing in the big show..........Oh yeah.........GO Canucks!!!!!

The reffing was pathetic. They don't call the really bad things they HAVE to call, and call a few petty ones. If you break a stick with a slash, it needs to be called. It wasn't extremely one sided or anything, but they have to do a lot better job. There should of been atleast 8-10 more penalties.

Not a chicago fan at all, just a anti-canucks fan. I will cheer for anyone playing against them. Gonna be lots of humble pie when canucks are eliminated.......I don't care if they made it to second round, theres three more and a lot harder teams.

If canucks owned the game it wouldn't of went to OT. I love when people say "the goalie won it, or the goalie held them in" Since when did the goalie stop being a player? If the goalie won it, they out played them. If a goalie keeps a team in and makes it a OT game, it wasn't one sided play at all. Yes canucks got more chances, but unless you capitalize it means nothing, the goalie still outplayed you.

Canucks won't make it far. "the best duo in the league" is the weak point, luongo got by on the skin of his teeth last night, he will crumble again. Still laughing he made that comment! They have a very good back up, but luongo sucks....Crawford made him look like a rookie backup.

Say what you want, the series was decided on ONE shot, it would of took nothing for it to go the other way.

It was a dead even series, and chicago didn't even play well. Detriot or san jose will wipe the floor with them if nashville can't.

1st or 2nd round is pointless, the teams who didn't make the playoffs are better off they got a headstart at golf!
