Trail was good last weekend, a bit icy on the one area around km 8-9 where the steeper switchbacks were, you need to keep to the sides and not ride the center or your possibly spinning. Should be ok as long as people stop hamming on it after they turn the corner.

Close Ron, but you mean the 4km marker just after the first bridge. It can be steep and icy for newer riders. It was an alternate route created to deal with a natural disaster that took out the main bridge.

Thanks for clarifying that Curtis. Varda did an awesome job with that detour, I indicated that before, it was well done and signed.

Found tons of untouched not far from the cabin at Allen. Rode their 2 days. 4” fresh and then a light crust and then 12”-18” of fresh underneath. Also ventured back to premier and found more untouched and lots of fresh there on Friday.

Road Clemina today the trail up was in awesome shape. Raining at bottom and started to turn to snow at km8 by km11 it was snow. Heading into A bowl for a bit to have a peek snow was about 1’ then headed into a few cut blocks in the Baurs area, 12” to 18” of new snow. Most of the hazards are totally buried. Then into upper Bauer’s for a peek, same snow. Decided to poke into lakeview, the storm was kicking in and it was windy and snowing quite heavy. Visibility was down to about 10’ so headed to check out one more cutblock and down. The trial down was very good considering the warm conditions. A bit icy on the detour at km4-5. Then some mud/dirt patches at km 4-down to parking lot, a few light areas. The trails in Valemount always appear to be groomed so good. And it appears that the groomer has been bringing snow off the banks to the trial sustain the trail for a longer period of time. The trail is wide and always a nice experience after riding the renshaw trail on a busy weekend. Great Job groomer operator all season.
Driving home there was a blizzard the snow was coming down heavy on the roads from the Clemina parking lot to about the Alberta border then dry in jasper to blizzard conditions just north west of jasper right through to Hinton. That was around 3 pm

There will be some sweet riding when this storm is done.

I have included a few pics of Clemina parking lot looking north and south

Wholly Halfton Batman, that is about as sketchy as I have ever seen lol......Must have super super super heavy duty super clamps . 40.000 bucks hanging in the wind, that needs too be be posted in the sled deck on a half ton...

Oh, yes I seen that, sorry my pic is blurry. Those sleds were hanging off that truck no less than 5' that was amazing. Must be hard on the box, deck bolts, and suspension. I thought it was crazy, hit a large bump on the highway and the deck pulls the bolts through the box and you have the deck and 2 sleds on the highway. Also cant imagine the additional pressure on the 1/2 ton axles.

How the Allen creek trail holding up? Bringing the kids up for Easter and wondering it it’s iced up yet or still
Smooth sailing?

It was good yesterday, not too many whoops by the end of the day and had good coverage back to the lot.
