always tried some ice fishing but never found a good hole

I remember cutting through 8' of ice.

had to stand on the back of the sled and full reach for the handles of the auger

we were catching Char at that time.

shrimp fed

and they were delicious

those were the good ol' days

too cold for my old bones now tho'

Just fish for little cut throats out here.

I remember finding

3 40 ouncers one trip

we had trouble on the trail

and another group must have had trouble also

low and behold, there was a 40 ouncer in the snow. This would be a good day

we continued on to a fishing lodge

a beautiful day in the spring

crossed a creek to the lodge

 

[ferniesnow]

nothing was locked in those days

 

[ferniesnow]

went in and looked around

opened the freezer (trappers and cabin owners used that for varmit protection
