I'll take ten horsepower less, with a fifty pound weight advantage any day. Much easier and cheaper to gain power than to loose weight. The 2011/2012 Poo 800 engines have been holding up just fine according to the huge number of owners on the sled forums.

I love how you guys justify less hp. " Oh but its just so flickable and effortless I don't care how much hp it has"

We may have the smaller muscles in this fight but at least our bellies are not getting bigger each year. Lol.

Really?

Maxwell, here's your new favorite sled! More hp and more weight again for you!

I love to see how you'll justify less hp by countering with some ski-doo centric retort. :)

If it's so easy, why didn't Polaris do it from the factory?
Why does the Doo get heavier each year? I must have hit a nerve with my last post, I Doo like what what BRP has done, and hope it's a great sled. But I don't see them gaining back much market share in the mountain segment with a heavier sled. And Maxwell, your on here every day telling us all what a piece of crap our sleds are, while you try to justify why what you have is the best. It's all part of the fun of sledding, ride what you like.

I love how ski doo's game changer is just trying to catch up with the handling ability the other brands have had for years. As an added bonus I'm sure they'll include a Ski doo jacket when you snowcheck you new $15000 tank....

Good grief... I jokingly predicted this back after the XP release...

ever tried standing on the castle nut on the spindle and the running board and done a slow speed manuver? I can say this u can pull that sled over with 1 hand with this technique and the sled whips a donut on the spot! very handy feature

alright we were in revy and sicamous on the weekend and watched a group of poos and a couple new cats come into owls head were we were playing in the super bowl. we watched 4 yes 4 poo's try and get even close to our highmarks on our 3 etecs and 3 pteks we were riding with! and gotta say we carved circles around them all day!!!! and the new cat well it didnt even beat the poo thats how sad that machine is! all you gotta do is look 15"wide vs 16" wide pretty easy to see who has more flotation! and ya you can say weight is everything but if that is the key then explain to me how a 500 hp 8000 pound truck can smoke a 350 hp 2500 pound car in a drag race? it's not all about weight there boys! ever think that maybe track, gearing, clutching, suspension setup, and so many other factors might have more to do with it then weight???

yes doo may get heavier or stay the same weight but in the end that 460+ pound doo lays a smack down on these 417 pound poos. doo does it to make the others feel like they are achieving something in the mountain class when really they are just years behind.

it will be a game changer forsure! think of this when sidehilling and carving back up a slope what gives you more traction. the new doo platform makes it so when sidehilling or doing a big nasty downhill to uphill turn that all of your track is coming in contact with the snow instead of it really tipping up on its side and only leaving you with a half to a quarter of track touching the snow. it's the same theory with drag racing the guy with the fatter tires and more rubber contact on the track is gonna hook up and launch better than a guy with pizza cutter tires. I myself dont think the doo needs to be more nimble but some doo and I guess this is why doo really attacking the polaris and even attacking them with there prices. in my opinion you get way more with a doo than a poo. I may say different when poo finally comes out with an 800 that runs 160+hp and doesnt blow up in that 417 pound chassis. until then I'm gonna stick with the leader of the pack and ride doo

Pro can do that when you're standing on the running boards. If I bought a Doo, it would take me a full season to learn all the tricks to ride that fat pig !

how do you get off saying the XP is a FAT PIG? lets compare current available models??? not much deference in claimed dry weights? and besides while your poo might be a bit lighter on the scale, that extra fuel you have to carry to keep up to my etec will weight you down quite well
