lets put it this way. skidoo 154 says offical dry weight of 464 polaris pro rmk 155 says estimated 431, so thats 33lbs, but also is estimated, so really i bet its a bit more. the skidoo has a 2.5" 16" wide track while the polaris has a 2.4" 15" wide, giving the skidoo much better traction on the snow.

Ive lined my 2011 154 against 2 different 2011 Pro RMK 155, and i am yet to loose doing a pull up any grade of hill deep or packed. one RMK also has some work done to it, and i only have the 2.25" track. I am not taking away that polaris did good and built a lighter machine, but in real world conditions, the Polaris is yet to out to the skidoo in the steep and deep in stock form. im not trying to feed you a pile of crap, im talking personal experiences of me and my riding partners, and im sure more will tell you the same thing all day long.
I heard on here, (snow and mud) that the new polaris pro's are falling apart. too light weight. broken running boards.
Also if the skidoo has a wider track and is 154" thats equivilliant to what ? a 159 x 15" approx.?

Running boards have broken I've heard, but just a few cases and on sleds that are jumped, etc. boards are fine on my buddy's '11 and my '12. Pro's are FAR from falling apart.

The 2011 poo had running board problems yah. That's been addressed for current years I guess. Not sure what the conversion is for tracks.

I did take it to the track and I won 3 of the 3 races we did sorry dumb analogy just trying to show that weight savings isnt always the thing that is gonna propel you across the finish line or to the top faster I realize it is all torque thats why previous posts have stuff saying that it takes proper suspenson, torque, tracks, etc to make the thing go like it should not just weight savings

Lol I meant an actual track that involves turns and braking...

Light and nimble has its place, both of these sleds are good, if not great. End of discussion haha

You know, it really doesn't matter what the Doo girls say. Poo currently owns 50% of the mountain sled market. They didn't get there by selling an inferior product. With that success also comes a large bullseye painted on them and Doo is gunning for the #1 mountain spot again that they held for quite a few years. In the end, we are the beneficiaries of this, so I say, let the battle begin !!!

You and maxwell and a few others should get some help pal. You guys remind me of a bunch of retarded adults that just discovered jello for the first time and can't stop talking about how its the best food you ever ate and you're not ever gonna eat anything else. Them i can understand , you , i just sorta feel embarrassed for.
Or maybe back when we all got our first taste of the pleasures females can inflict on our person, couldn't imagine any hooks or horns that could be involved cause it was the bomb, then we discovered the trade-offs and the always evident downside, ...you little beakers are still just seeing the pu$$y, not any of the compromises and trouble spots.
As I told maxwell the other day....growing up is tuff, but hang in there little guy, we're all in this together.

PS; and I like the new Doo looks like some cool features.

hey....easy...lol...

Kinda picked up on the joking, but I'm confused by the "follow me if you dare" comment. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you're chasing my tail light, isn't it you who is following ? LMAO !!

Let me explain this, but I'll type really slow, so you'll understand. Current Poo 163 is 435 dry, current FAT Doo 163 is 472 dry (from Doo's f/book page - 12 & 13 are same weight). 472 - 435 = 37 lbs. OINK, OINK !!! And I've only had to use my spare fuel once this season. I'm starting to think I should leave it behind.

HV the posted weights on Facebook are wrong. The official spec sheet in the dealer manual is 459 for the 154x and 464 for the 163x. This has been confirmed by BRP as the proper posted weight. If someone could teach me how to copy and paste then I will post it on this site. Hope this clears up the confusion everyone! Incidentally these weight are the exact same as last year. The sled has lost weight but they added it back for all the whiners that wanted more storage instead of wearing a fuggin backpack like a real man does.

Where are your numbers coming from? Do you have documentation to back it? If I told you that Doo has 40% mountain share would you believe me? That only leaves 10% for Cat and Yamaha. I can tell you this...... my number is alot closer than yours. BTW for everyones knowledge BRP still holds number one market share for their whole lineup worldwide. I will find out the market share for the mountain and post it when my dealer gets back.

"Because of the Pros’ lightweight and durable chassis, they own approximately 50-percent of all mountain sales for MY2012."This quote came from 2012 Mountain Sled Evaluations: Part 2 on snowmobile.com

Wow ......................I feel sorry for Cat and Yamaha.
Ya, me too. Honestly, I was surprised it was that high. I actually read another write up stating that the Pro RMK was the best selling single model of all sleds for '12. Like it or not, obviously lots and lots of people do.

I would be surprised by that. The market segment is growing but still no where near the percentage of units sold in the east and midwest. There are dealers down east that sell 1500 units a year.
