Its always best to change gears and chain as one but yes you can. I have on a few occasion just did one.
I would at least do bottom and chain and run the top gear if it looks good.

When you leave a component in like a gear the chain will quickly stretch to match, faster than normal wear.
You will have the stronger upgrade components but in short time they will have the same wear as before.
Change everything at once.

I completely agree, that is the best thing to do.
If you have little hours and wear you can get away with mismatch but your correct that is best.

Does anyone know the width of the chain? Is it a 13 wide or a 15 wide.....
If its a 13, is there room to swap it to a 15?

ok, I see the 18 Mountaincat is a 13 wide but they went to a BorgWarner chain.

I wonder is a 15 wide is do-able. You would have to change sprockets to match but then it would be pretty much bullet proof....wouldn't it?

We did this years ago on our Firecats......never busted a chain or had any issues again.

We were told 2" with 20lbs. We had same issues at the start. Tightened up and changed hyfax. Have not seen since. Track has been stretching a bit.

Anyone else getting a far amount of snow under the hood? had both steering boots packed full and steering was freezing up. I am sure I had the hood on correct, clutch was not slipping. But pain in the butt, have to give the steering a good hiyah in the middle of your sidehill to free it up.

Where is it coming from? The vents? anyone have similar issue or fixes.

Thanks

This a custom cover I would guess? Expanded metal with some fabric over top? Also which vents kit is that on the sides?

Thanks

There is also some little holes in the font nose cone on each side that need to be taped off, they look minor but make a big difference, a little 1cm by 1cm piece of gorilla tape in each hole will fix it

Bought the side ones from moflo.

And the center I took out the goggle holder and replaced.it with the grill piece from the early release or snopro model. It's plastic, cost $15 bucks from Cat.

Then I bought a sheet of hydroforbic prefilter material from moflo, cut and glued it into place.

It has been awesome, really lowered the engine bay temps and the sled can always get cool intake air.

You can buy a vent kit and it fits properly. I have the same one on mine, works well.
