Is the 880 kitt better than the 860 kitt i was told that i would not have to run race fuel in hills, but would have too have race fuel down here, the reason i want to put a kitt on is so i can put a 162 powder max track on my 159 07 xrs the concencus is that the powdermax is better than the challenger things to ponder?

We have guys that are running the 162 camo extreme 2.5" track on there mostly stock 800's with no problems.. If you are looking at replacing your track check out the camoplast extreme..

Yes, going to vale in springbreak!!!:D

Ken will going to the hills every weekend in april.. He will have an 860 with him.. He'll probably be based out of vale on weekends or blue. Anyvbody got any other brand of 860's that they want to see how they stack up??

Who's kit? Ralph's? Sled Shed - this is an 888. Ted at TerraAlps is making an 860 too, around 180 hp (or so I heard....;))
SHR 860 kit from BJ is good too or Trygstad in the states, awesome Ski Doo motor builder.

A guy from Med Hat has Ralph's 885 kit in the 08 XP, goes pretty good......you can get them from Specialty Sleds

159 vs 162 track - only 1.5 inches of track more actually on the ground, the 800 in stock trim will turn it no problem, they are putting the 163 on the new sleds with the same power you have. you could always drop a tooth or two on the gearing to compensate for the added traction if its a problem.

If you really want to step it up, there is a 1075 kit out there for the 800....

Yah i think baker is running one anyway.. Not to sure how it's working over all.. I know he had some issues at first, but i think it's not bad now.. Not sure how it goes compared to the 860 though.. Might find out this weekend if he goes diggin with ken.. My only concern with the 960 is the cylinder walls might be gettin a little skinny..

Terra Alps only does the 860 because of the cast stock pistons, totally reliable. they fully port the cyls as well where others don't, most are bored then renikasil'd and sent out the door! need to open the ports to gain from a bigger bore.
the 880 and what not are using wisecos which should be changed 500-1000miles or everyyear. no gain in hp for 20cc's or 1mm in pistons size.
theres a 960 running around bc but it just runs with the stockers, it has crankshop cyls instead of the stock cyls.

as for the 1075? not sure if the bottom end would handle it if it actually worked like most would want it too.

I ran a crankshop 900 a few years ago and it seemed to be a good motor. I would think the 960 would be using different cylinders than stock.I cant see the crankcase being able to have enough volume to run a 1075 very efficiently? But iam not that bright either

Where in the hills is the shootout going to be. Would like to see this. Was riding with 2 07 m1000 turbos in Clemina on Saturday and there was no hill that would stop them very impressed but I am a doo man. It looks like it took all the fun out of climbing.

But specialty is in valemont and blue this weekend and pure addiction is also supposedly goin riding there this weekend to. Should be good and fun times.. Because that is always the most important part of it all,, Is to have fun and enjoy rhe sport..
