it's 3" pitch... come on... LOL

I noticed how far apart the lug spacing is, looks larger than a 3" pitch.

3.5 in pitch with 47 windows works out to 165"

Maybe. But look at the size of the track windows, if yah wanted to lighten the track with the supposed extra porting. Increase the track pitch and the windows will get bigger, plus the track will get longer.

Its just talk and discussion.

3" pitch is pretty spaced already. That is why they went to 2.86.

you get less effectiveness on the snow with a longer pitch, Less lugs to the ground, sure it's lighter, but if you add ½" on every lug, it adds up. ... and so on.

you have a larger driver. I am sure there isn't anything smaller than a 7 tooth driver.. in today's sleds. the difference in driver diameter with 3.5 would be 1.1 inches.. gotta make room for that. not to mention the cooler is probably lower now..

BRP are manufactures are they not ?
They can and will build whatever they think will make improvements in their engineers minds . " God help us"
Caper is very aware don't you worry.

Started 2.52 pitch then 2.86 and then 3 inch pitch.
Between 2.86 and 3 is so very little .

Yes, but 2.86 isn't the factor.

Camoplast manufactures the tracks.
The closer the lug, the more snow to push. weight is the drawback.

Actually it was 2.52, then 3.00, then 2.86 respectively. (happy medium for weight and performance)

If you want a vibrating track, put on a 3.5 pitch 6 tooth driver... It will shake your feet off the running boards.

Not worried a bit bro. Guess we will see monday.

I am not your bro and your still incorrect .
2.52 then 2.86 and then 3
3 was aftermarket "Camoplast"for the 3 inch lug tracks .
First 174 if I remember right.
Then Yamaha , Arctic Cat Started installing them factory and others after that .

It's different but very similar. It could be the yellow pic is an old pic from last year just as easy, before they finalized the design.

You're facts are backwards bro. I put a 3" pitch 162x16x2.5 track on my 2005 rev summit. Was there 2.86 then? Nope!

This is aftermarket. 3" pitch was available before 2.86. Fact.

This teaser is in relation to the YELLOW hooded spy photo. How can I tell? The headlights are the exact same shape and size. Overlay the two images.. It is clearly the same sled, but the first teaser pic is NOT the same as this one. The first teaser pic had angled/sharp/pointed headlights like todays mountains sleds, while the todays teaser pic has the flat bottom of todays trail sleds. We are for sure seeing 2 seperate sleds, and there may be more than 2 new sleds at the reveal. 3 more days!

Back on topic .
Better do some fact checking . The 2005 rev was 2.52 pitch stock ( Doo switched in 2008 to 2.86 pitch with 2.25 lug )and if you switched without changing drivers it wasn't no 3 inch pitch.
We are talking Doo here and not cats as they did have 3 inch pitch stock as was stated.

You said the 2.86 was before the 3.00 In the real world this is wrong, but if you rode stock and was uninformed about aftermarket, I see your shortfall.

Actually, it's the other way around. You can run 2.86 on 3.00 drivers.. otherwise you would stab windows ....
