We have well over 200 G4's out now with 4 or 5 turboed and haven't had an issue with drivers yet? What are they doing to them or is this just another I heard it from a friend?

i run 10 lbs boost on my skidoo and never have an issue with drivers? and thats HCR as well as back country.

key is to not let them slip. once they do then they wear down fast and you are hooped. keep proper track tension which should be tighter than factory with boost in my opinion

I'd like to do drivers on my 850 just to get rid of the god awful noise and vibration when traveling downhill, avid's drivers corrects this problem apparently.

Powderfreaks drivers are far better than an avid in regards to vibration and noise. A little cheaper as well.

Hasn't happened to me personally yet. But if you feel like you dont believe me you can ask mr Rene st onge, hes cooked more then a few. Im not a fan of walking 2 days out of some deep dark hole for help so i just put stronger ones in and call it a day.

Heavy wet snow is hard on them. no issues in my neck of the woods with the light fluffy stuff

Your not running a gen 4 with a turbo as of yet. I never said the xm was prone to it, i said the gen 4 has had failures

The xms with a turbo can spin the driveshaft in the driver. Seen it more than once, so I would imagine the G4 also has the potential to do the same, since the 6t 3.5” and the 7t 3.0” driver are the same diameter.

I’m going to start at 5 psi boost on my silber 850 with stock drivers I ran my Xm 800 boost-it intercooler at 7-8 psi with stock drivers 2200 Kms until I sold it but I agree it’s much nicer riding thru the snow than walking thru it..... or even doubling out from the back Hope this Silber is the ANSWER

theres a very few elite riders that can actually use more then 5lbs.... i would go out on a limb and say no one actually needs more then an efficient 5lbs. anything after that is a measuring contest. thats my opinion

I know of no turbo company that invests the time to put efficiency into their kit. Heck, they throw in heavy weights, heavy springs, steeper helix and call it good. Now it's lazy and goes blaaaaaah, blaaaaaaah or, like a few kits that scream and don't go anywhere also.
An efficient 5lbs is great I agree. Anything over 150hp is just wasted track spin. If you can get 150hp to hookup you will be king. Listen carefully to turbo sleds on a good, loaded climb. The sled should sound like it is "grunting" and you will notice it constantly accelerating. Not screaming at 8400 and not inconsistent rpms. Maybe 5% of tuners can get this done. If I come across someone that can, I'll post up their name. Kanedog.
There is no motorsport that promotes track spin like snowmobiles. It's like we are retarded.

100% agree. when i put my p-85 and team on my boost it xm. my 5lbs that felt meh... turned into 5lbs of short bus, window licker, ear to ear grin. Mind blown.
