So for those that have silber turbos would u do it again? From what I've been gathering is a mixed bag of reviews. A lot to do with issues with getting the ECU flashed and returned, customer service and some clutching issues. I like the benefits that this kit offers but most importantly want it to RUN! Now days they all claim pull n go, but is it. Owned a couple turbo sleds and there's always something to tweak, that's totally fine. As long as its isn't down time when u wanna ride the very thing u paid for. Customer support is also very important. In the market and plan on getting the ball rolling in a few days.
Cheers!

customer service is not the best unless your name is chris brown or andrew munster. does the kit run. YES. and it runs very well. in fact pull and go is exactly what it is..... keep in mind when u have a turbo you have alot more routine maintenance to keep things running. The clutching is meh, and the gearing needs to be tweaked for proper belt sheave heights. BUT skidoo factory clutches are meant for the junk yard. put a P-85 and team secondary with proper gearing and you have a monster machine. the ECU problem is fixed because you can now flash your ECU from your phone with their kits. Its pretty well idiot proof, that being said you still need to know how it works and what is going on in case you do have any issues. on another note MTNTK has since come out with a kit for the 850 doo that could be a very good thing as well. Any questions feel free to ask.

So no sending the ECU in, thats a plus. Didn't see or catch that on their website. Actually talked with mtnkt sounds pretty interesting. Was told that more info would b released at hay days.
They use a smaller Garrett 2554r for the gen 4.
Thanks!

I have been really happy with mine. Put 1000km on it last year after it was boosted and it was nothing but pull and go. Only complaint was things get Crazy hot under the hood. Had to stop and open the panels more than I would have liked. I am running the silber clutching with different gearing and it was ok. Guy I ride with has the SHR clutching and it was very impressive. Silber did update the clutching for this years kit though. Downside to the Ecu flash with your phone is that you have to buy a $300 cable. Not sure where you are located but I know that WPM in Westlock will be set up to flash them this year. They will also have a bunch of kits in stock. I would give them a call to get a price if your in the market. Got a smoking deal through them last year.

ALOT of this heat your talking about is due to the inefficiency of the factory clutches. the turbo itself yea does put out heat. but the clutching is junk IMO. i have since put a p-85 and team sec on my boost it turbo xm t3, and its destroys the 850 silber turbo at the same boost pressure. The kicker is i can open the hood after running it up and deep hill and grab the clutches and i sh*t you not they are cool. the silber 850 will be getting the same conversion. OH and you deff need some venting!

Hey take it for what it is.... its just my opinion. What i will say is ive spent big money on trying to get the stock clutches to work and i was always blowing belts and had heat issues, and there guys on here that can attest to that. I got tired of hearing oh your panels are open again!? of typical turbo guy...BS. So i visted ken at mountain majic. we put a p-85 and team in my boost it xm t3. And i was blown away enough that everything i have that says skidoo on it will be running this exact clutch set up. all i have to say is now my clutch side panel isnt steaming as i drive through the snow and that alone is worth the money invested, never mind all the hidden hp i didnt even know was there. To each their own.

5lbs is fun. but i like 10. whos running higher boost on these silber kits?

They will run whatever boost pressure you want. The question is do you want to have issues like you do with your race sled or do u want a reliable hp jump that you can ride all day worry free? You will not make that kind of boost pressure without some sort of motor work, new set of clutches, aftermarket drivers, and a belt drive im thinking. BUT i cant say for sure cause i haven't had the pleasure of running it that high. The drive train becomes questionable when you start pushing things to the limits like that witch is why im assuming you dont see many guys running over 7lbs. Also keep in mind and efficient 5lbs would be like riding 7 plus on an unefficient set up

Are your side panels open again or are you stuck?

I believe u. I'm just saying that after all these years one would think that clutching would b a non issue period!

yea you would think... but look at then gen4's they have clutching issues, belt issues, and motor mount issues witch all work together to create belt heat. Throw a turbo at it and it makes it worse. Im not saying it wont work, theres lots of guys running these kits with the stock clutches and what not, BUT be prepared to break some belts. And when you brake a belt u usually bounce it off the rev limiter and then you have opened a whole new can of worms with the reeds turning to pixie dust. Them shes a heli ride out.

On a side note koodo's to you for doing some leg work and asking around to see what real world info you can attain prior to making the switch to the dark side, that way you are prepared for whats to come. :clap2:

So I ended up with a 2019 silber kit from wpm in westlock. I must say the fit and finish is top notch. They were having great success with the SHR clutch kits. Who sell a complete team clutching setup in AB.

Probably gain 10lbs over stock once everything's installed.

I paid $4725 all in. Comes with 3, 5, 7lbs waste gate springs and spanner wrench to change them. Only takes a minute to change spring.
