Talked with a fellow that has one and he had two incredible days with it, some of the best out of any turbo sled in the past, then the third he hit a over rev and knocked out reeds.. He pretty sure he needs more gearing..

i have mentioned this this a few times and no replies, just checking my gearing on stock motor I was with in a inch of the top of primary, so when adding 50 more hp it has to be over reving..

i think there should be a tooth or two added to top sprocket, not really into replacing reeds first week out

Yes that would be a good idea min would be 2.4x max would be 2.3x. the 850 update the replace the gear with 2.52 or something like that witch is simply not enough.

Ran ran into a mpi kit on a 175 this last weekend, said he also did the same thing to his reeds, and was from over revving that hit rev limiter, jumped up two teeth and no problems since

he said his buddy runs his at 10k feet and has had no problems on stock gear,. Maybe just making more power at lower elevation is to much for stock gear

im running 2.42 in my xm at 5lbs and i think its perfect? i dunno i could prolly get away with running 2.3x but im not 100 percent sure on it. im also running 2.42 on my silber 850 and no issues yet. both are stock gear ratios. thats with a 3 in track of course

And what elevations is that at.. The coolest running clutch set up is one I understand that uses a full shift, like your seeing, you might have found the secret boost level to stock.. Jumping to 8 lbs might be not enough to gear..

run 2.3ish on the other two turbo sleds and seams to run decent with that

If you can beleve it I'm still waiting on parts that are missing from Sibler 850 kit, it's almost crazy already, all the excuses why they have not got to me, from wrong address to maybe they forgot to send them.. Might just have to right this kit off and try in get my money back..

any lag with the Sibler kit off the start..? Is it still as strong as everybody led to beleve off the start, anything you don't like about it?

thats is at 5 to 7000ft for my gearing and clutching seems to be spot on.
the t3 and g4 came with 2.42 stock (until the clutching upgrade came out on the g4 and that turned it to 2.5) i think stock it needs to be in the 2.5 area and with a turbo 2.4 would be perfect unless your running higher boost then i can see 2.3 being a viable option. I just had a few days on my stocker at 2.42 and it feels like it cant hold track speed at all ( i was trying to prove my theory to myself). .hen the snow is deep that stock motor just dont have enough hp to turn the track with the load it has to move underneath it. the 2.4 gearing at 5lbs is like a happy medium between 2.3 and 2.5 still snappy on the bottom but enough gear your not gonna run the belt into the bottom of the secondary.

as for silber, i went through the same same bs, i actually had to go on fb on turbo sleds only and start calling them out on it. Once i got their attention they took care of me to shut me up but they still dinked me around sending the ecm snail mail and the rest of the kit over night. Typical silber BS. They are known for that. I cannot believe its FEB and you dont have your stuff, THAT is unacceptable.

As for the kit, it performs just like stock. I wont lie it runs really well, consistent every ride. the clutching needs some fine tuning, theirs deff more left on the table i can feel it. and bog i pretty well non existent.

If you can beleve it the package of missing parts showed up yesterday, it was snail mail for sure, like three weeks to get here.. What the hell were they thinking

once open I found all missing parts except my ecm.. After calling them my spare ecm(1100$$) they feel went missing with original turbo package at customs, had three kits like this..

So here we go again, need to buy another spare ecm.. :confused:Because they don't have insurance for that even thou I payed a premium on shipping to get it here with fedex..

Oh buddy, If i was you i would fly down there and five finger death punch Justin silber rite in the nose.. THAT is straight up ridiculous. I would suggest getting ahold of corey and i would also suggest going on facebook and start making it public on the turbo sleds only page. They have a large presence there and it will catch their attention due to the amount of people responding to it. It took me 15 minutes for them to call me.. instead of me calling and getting the voicemail for a 2 weeks. Trust me it works. There is no reason for this and frankly its unacceptable they blew your whole season because of it. In fact i would also request a reimbursement for half the kit to cover the bs they put u through.

Maybe you should hold your comments as you only heard one side of the story. Not doubting Fred but Justin seems like a real stand up guy to me and mistakes get made when you are panicking to get it all done during your busy season. Have a little grace for others, unless of course you are perfect yourself? I know first hand what it's like and most guys leave everything to the last minute and expect rush treatment. I know Fred did not do this but what about the other dozen guys that Justin is trying to take care of?

As a matter of fact i wont hold my comments because i went through it first hand. I know both sides of the story and i know Silber's BS customer service first hand. Why dont you send your ecm down there and have it never return? then well see if your song doesn't change. sure they got the best running ecm tuned kit out there... but they got the most god awful customer service ive seen. And when you call then straight up lie to you over the phone to get you to screw off. I dont have grace for people who take your money and give you the run around and f**k your whole season because of it, its pretty simple straight forward stuff... u pay... u get your product... and enjoy, that's how it should be.

Sounds like having a Canadian distributor would solve a lot of his problems. Someone with an inventory of re-programmed ECMs, or the ability to program them would be better. And an inventory of kits and parts. Would save a lot of headaches, and probably sell a lot more kits.

When you snow check and pay in advance there is no excuse for busy season bull crap. I run an Alberta kit on my 17 850 and when I call if I have a question or problem the owner answers and helps me out period. Will be snow checking another machine this year and installing Alberta product during summer and riding all season. Free updates to boot. Pm me if you would like to know who I deal with.

Well I'm waiting to here back from silber.. They are dealing with insurances or whatever, get me a cost to replace again..

i treid chris brown a while back, but he wanted me to bring entire sled to program.. And then he was gone to Japan for a few weeks..

Silber should be having this so we could download a file to ecm, like in a tuner or something.. From this exsperice I have had its just not worth the reward, been a real pain in my ass to say the least

Question for the turbo Gen4 crowd in particular those with the Silber kit. Are the stock drivers good with 5lbs boost or extroverts needed?
