Ok so my buddy has a 2003 summit and can't get the riser to tighten enough that the bars won't swivel.... Tried tightening, putting in rubber and tightening more, putting screws through to lock it, but this phucking thing won't tighten down enough to keep the bars from tilting...... Is this a stock skidoo steering post? Because he bought a different riser off of echo marine and the holes didn't line up

I agree with 02 summit 700 there should be a gap between the cap and its mate, and looks broken!

When i picked up my sled off Teth-air, this was another one of those things that was broken. Had to replace the two caps because they were cracked. I think it ran me about $40 or more. Check with the dealer

You have to be careful with this add on-to-plate system.

the weakest link is the factory steering post plate on the underside. I would weld gussets under it, because I broke mine high up in westridge.. NOT fun coming down with a handlebar that is barley held on with cracked welds..
