Good day on Boulder today. There must have been some wind up top, as alpine snow is wind swept and thin in some areas, very deep in others. I think we did the Shaede Lane trail circuit?
.......
Lots of stucks today, both in my group and everywhere else I looked.

I think we saw the "Shaede World Tour" again today. Big train!

Yes you probably saw us.
11 in group to alpine then broke up into 2 groups.

Be careful out there folks. Very very week layers.

The whole cliff line slid thru Shade Lane. Very large deposit at bottom of the hill.

Cloudy with su ny breaks through out the day.

AdamG is correct that the cool temps and wind settled the snow in the alpine. But as you drop down abit, it is DEEEEEP.

Have fun and ride safe.
Review your Avalanche cards and assess the hills......

Not close enough to the Mountains, AB
She should have called a helicopter to go find them. Garmin Inreach to text someone your location and tell them to call for a helicopter.
Done

Why waste someone’s time and resources if they are both in good health (assuming) and with cell service? So many options before calling a heli. I’m sure SAR get nuisance calls often enough.

I’m Just glad these guys were able to find their way out and no need for any worried families tonight.
