Ya the avy danger is definitely more than any club would want to assume for a groomed trail. You really dont want to go up during periods of natural avy activity

Impassable due to the willows down low once you turn left off the Holmes River FSR.

We brushed out a quad trail 16 km up this summer. Not great but better.
Sweet, good work man! It was bad years ago when I was last in that way! Would be a solid jungle now I'd imagine

I spoke to a reliable source in the know of things this morning.
MBCSA is working diligently to have permissions for Tommy Creek this season, and they are very hopeful that will happen.
There was some hope for Renshaw being groomed my the new groomer operation, on a donation basis and with no club involvement. The idea was that once the ground froze, the bridge would get signed off on, and be passable again. Unfortunately, it sounds like the heavy rain on Sunday and Monday has further degraded the bridge, and this may not be possible. The figures I have heard are around $250k to make the necessary repairs to the 2km bridge.
MBCSA is working diligently to get the Renshaw open again, however they are a volunteer organization and have limited resources. There's many hurdles to get over to make this happen, as it's the case with anything government. They have gone through a few submittals so far, and have had to start from scratch after weeks of effort. Then there's the issue of the recent election in BC.
What MBCSA needs is the support of the community. Letters from the sled community expressing the need for this trail to reopen will help immensely getting the government on board with making the repairs possible. The more people that can voice their support, the better.
