Interesting it went from needing repairs to possibly falling into the creek.

The weekend of the snow show in Edmonton, McBride had some serious downpour which apparently caused servere damage to the center abutment. Prior to that the groomer was planning a groom by donation program unaffiliated with the club. After that storm plans changed.

I should add...

Load and go,,, point the front tires of the rig somewhere and giver...

If the snow and trails suck here then head there...

BC is full of riding areas...

1280 kms long and 520 kms wide ...

And no one can find a spot too ride...

It might cost in fuel but you'll be in paradise when you get there...

Set-up at a staging-area and Hooligan rad the crap out of the Pow...

Life is gooder when your in a hot spot...

1980 too 2012 ish

There's alot of BC !!!

I'm assuming they have some sort of DFO approval to even yank the deck out so am I being overly optimistic they are also going to do the repair/replacement at the same time or under the same scope of work?

The government is actually spending money it appears, we had a bunch of road work done on our trail by sites and trails this fall. They will be doing more next year too.

I am along ways from the snow but know it was the abutment on the low side that was washed out and now the bridge has dropped somewhat so liability wise has to be pulled

Is the back way in, from the Chalco side?

I have long heard of the waterfall, not sure where it is? or which route you take to encounter it? Horsey creek side?

What about the Morkill route?

Chalco is up the Holmes FSR just before where Tommies is.

The route up the waterfall will be well pounded out this year being so close to Tommy.
Morkil is at least 110km round trip just to get in.
The worst avy traps to cross of anything I have seen in my 24 years of the Mcbride area.
There are three to climb and cross and they all slide multiple times per year. The worst one is 400 yards long, worse than any runout heading to Dore.
No one loves Renshaw more than my group.
You need a serious death wish to want to do it or truely hate your riding partners.
Cross a frozen river when bridge out or else up Holmes.
