I have no problem with moderating "bashing", because yes there is always 3 sides to a story. My issue with this site is the over moderation that is totally biased towards some supporting vendors. A thread doesnt even have to say anything bad about them....if it doesnt benefit them, or steers business away from them it gets deleted. Case in point, the skidoo price threads. Its fine if you want to set ground rules like no prices posted, no bashing, etc.....but to just delete the entire thread because people are talking about dealerships that are selling for really good prices? Thats fine if people want to shop local and build a relationship. Thats fine, it really is. But some people want to find the best deal. Too each their own. To completely delete these threads though is garbage IMO.

Thanks Deaner, for the comments, this is all under current review by our moderation team.

As long as you are moderating Cat, Yamaha and Polaris threads for pricing then I think you are doing the right thing Ron. I appreciate not having to compete against a dealer 600 miles away for customer retention because that dealer is pizzed at his neighbor then drags the whole friggen dealer network in western Canada in to the fray. The more people try and build a relationship with there dealer or sales person the more they will find the best deal will be where they want to deal, close to there home base. People are lazy now. They want everyone to do there work for them. If you have 3 dealers an hour from you but you like the sales guy and service manager at store A but dealer B is $200 cheaper than dealer A then is it really worth it to shop at store B for $200? You are basically saying Dealer A isn't worth your bar bill at Zala's for 1 night? It continues to shock me after 30 years in the business how many people hold a hundred dollar bill so tightly to there chest just on principle. But .........it is a free world I guess. Lol.

When some moron starts raving about how bad a vendor is on this web site it has no influence on my decision on wether or not I will deal with that vendor. I know that it is usually some crack pot that is mad that his machine is broke and going to cost money to fix. This free web site provides lots of good information that helps me sled the other stuff can be fun to. What the moderators do to satisfy vendors is there prerogative and has no bearing on my enjoyment of the site.

Dealerships aside... I pay out of my own pocket to be a supporter. Every event... Mountain Mania... The ATV jamboree... Its VERY expensive to be a supporter and to have my name out there. Do I expect special treatment? You damn right I do!Should I have control over what is put up or taken down on it... Absolutley not... And I dont. But... Im a customer! Case in point!!! Everybody on here wants to be treated special when they spend thier money... Why would I be any different. The reason this website and those events even exist... Is from people that step up and sponsor and donate...And the reason they exist is because of the customer. So if two people on here have an issue... Who is going to be taken care of first? NOT the people that sit and pick all of the flaw's out of the world all day. On the other hand... If somebody has something terrible to say about me... Or has a problem with service they have recieved from me.... I would much rather them bring it to my attention. NOT becuase I am scared of the reprecussions of "snow and mud" and my so called "monetary gains"..... But becuase I would like the chance to MAKE IT RIGHT. Whatever the issue is or was... And I could not do that properly..... without said person being respectful enough to sit down and have a conversation and figure out the proper course of action to make sure both parites find a fair solution to the problem...The products and services I have to offer.... Are expensive.. and sometimes in the current market... that can be taken for granted. Putting myself in the consumers shoes.... I would expect everything to be 100%... because that is exactly what I would want.

very well said and i fully agree. Its like reading the reveiws on trip advisor if i read all of those i would never travel anywhere only the people with something bad to say actally post anything. the other 99% are silent. some of these dealerships move thousands of units a year and guaranteed a certain % is going to have a bad experience just based on the probability of the machines failing and many other factors including how the owner handles the situation

Unfortunatley the way the world works hey? If somebody has a STELLAR expericence... The chances of them going home.. and wanting to take time out of thier day to tell the world about it... are next to none. If somebody feels they had a TOTAL FALIURE of an experience with customer service.... Snow and mud, sun, trouble shooter, ellen, oprah......

Yes, it is a tough row to hoe!

Keeping the masses happy is an unthankful task. It is the internet and there are keyboard junkies just looking to start a p*ssing match. That has to be moderated and moderated quickly. Whatever the reason the mods should have guidelines and rules, so to speak, and treat all instances fairly. The green room has to be active and participation should be mandatory while decisions are being made (maybe it is and we as the peons don't know about the process). No moderator should be an island. It should be a team decision and viewed by the membership as a team decision.

Keep working on the problems Ron as this is a great forum.

And I like Turple Bros& Buck lake and can't stand the dealer in Olds....

So who's right?? Like I said can't always please everyone.

no, please don't embellish the post, I have been treated well at turples, have had an issue or two, but overall happy. No problems at bucklake bobs. Olds I have had a few issues with parts supposed to be in stock, drove down, no parts!!! waist of 2 hours, also the mechanic there was a Duffass!! still I call to see if they have parts, If someone closer doesn't have. overall no real glaring issue with either one. now if we ar talking Rainy creek, I may have something to say!

Dealer satisfaction comes down to " The individual"s relationship with said dealer".
I've had some issues with my "dealer" and had to buy my sled from someone else, but I still deal with my dealer for all of my parts and consumables. Will I buy another sled from them, YES.... because overall they have been great to deal with.

Haters are gonna hate. That's just the way of the world.
