Raffle prices

I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are on raffles. Would you rather buy a hundred dollar ticket with say only 150 or 200 tickets or 10 dollar tickets but 2000 tickets sold.

Either or. I have been involved with $100 raffles where the prize is drawn that night and have also been involved with $10 tickets where we had three months to get them all sold.
I guess it depends on who you are targeting for sales and your time line.

Ya our club will probably be raffling off a quad so the question has come up for pricing. I like the better odds but some people don't want to risk a hundred bucks.

Lower dollar for the tickets especially on a big ticket item such as an ATV will sell easier.

It lets people set how much they want to spend, and makes it seems like you are getting better odds as well.

Lower priced for me, I don't expect to win. I just buy a ticket to support the cause.

Get a lot more people buying that wouldn't normally if he tickets are $5.00

I always like the idea of a lot of tickets for a smaller price. You are only interested in the money at the end of the day. Would you be more likely to buy 10 tickets for $10 or one ticket for $10. The seller still gets $10 but has to ask himself, which sale was easier?

Some people will shell out the big bucks for a raffle but I think more will shell out the small stuff. $1 tickets are not worth all the writing, but 5 for $20 isn't bad. Good luck.
