I will wait for New Years even cheaper deal
Check your account (especially Rogers) to ensure there isn't an error after your plan change. See below.
I'm with Rogers. I called on Monday and made the switch from a share plan to the $60 10gb deal for 2 phones on the same account. Went into my account today to look up how much I owed to pay off my wifes 'tab' ($222), my line didn't have anything owing for my phone. I noticed that both phones had beed switch to a new plan, but to a $85/month 10gb tab plan. I called them today and had them switch it to the $60/month that it was supposed to be changed to but I still feel really uneasy about the 'mistake' the Rogers rep made. When I was talking to the rep on the phone on Monday, I had him confirm 3 times (twice after he made the change) that both phones where switched to the proper plan. It feels like this was an intentional error by a rep to overcharge a customer. Had I not looked on my account this morning I'm sure it would have been a battle to get it rectified.
I think people might have gone a bit mental on this one, so right now 10g is $80 with my provider and people have actually gone in cancelled plans paid out penalties to save $20/month? Great program for providers to generate some cash flow with all the contract payouts lol.
Didn't sign a contract, will switch again to the better plan.Smart man...............^^^^^^

As an update, I had emailed Telus during the 60-10 promo and they actually honored it a week later for both wife and I. So I'm pretty happy.
It's locked in rate wise, free to terminate whenever you choose. Will they just charge you this rate for a couple of months and go back to your previous rate, or did they lock it in for you?
