Think about the repercussions , more tax money collected (helps the US) also more disposable income for the masses (helps the backbone of society ie: small business). Which inturn should reduce the unemployment rate. Ya gotta get money from where it is.....if the rich can't suck it up a bit they'll find their standard of living and lifestyles change dramatically.

Stay in a hospital for a few nights and you will know why healthcare is so expensive. I had an operation on my arm, and it took 2 hours. That, and a couple of nights at Hotel UofA. Been talking to people in the states, if you had no health care, that becomes 20 grand. Staff, maintenance, hoses, needles, equipment (beds must cost 30 g's each alone) WOW!!. X that by 5000 every day across Alberta alone... I commend the nurses for their jobs, There is no way I could do their work. NO WAY! They have my total respect.
In a whole scheme of things, I am glad to have my healthcare, because if you can't afford insurance down south, you are hooped. Be glad you live in Canadia!!

The rich won't take a pay cut though. They will receive raises and the working man will take a pay cut so the people who have worked hard, got an education and made the right moves will be paid accordingly.

It will be a very good day when we finally settle on a flat tax. This getting punished for working hard and being successful is ridiculous.
