I was told that in order to work on the transmission in the new Ford F-250s you have to remove the cab and set it aside. I'm going to call the dealer, but anyone heard of this? Hope not.

You need the cab off for engine work, not sure about tranny??

I have never done any work on tranny in a ford truck, But I've been under plenty. Also changed a T-5 in a 88 mustang GT. So unless you're going at it from the under side how could you possibly reach the tranny without either pulling the motor or lifting the cab.
6.4 is cab off even for injectors...so I have been told...by FORD lol
So they say in their manual. But i habe done without cab off not too bad to do
I just had my 06, 6L diesel in for an oil leak on the bed plate. I was there to have a look at the truck and they did not lift the cab to take the engine out. Everything came off the front and then the engine was taken out the front as well.
