I am harping about the Cat, really just want to inform people of the incredible problems with this sled so as to maybe save someone from buying one, yes doo and Poo have had many many issues but the difference is that they still have dealer support, Cat has a big financial problem and that will lead to little to no future parts even if they get bought by someone else the sheer time and effort to get this company back on track and in the game is unfathomable to me anyways. I love Cat, own 2 of them currently and have accepted that they are future boat anchors. I honestly believe that if anyone rode a Cat for 1 day before spending 23k on a n/a sled would very likely not buy one that's how bad they are. I also know of several more that have put rods through the blocks recently so the vibration has to be taking a huge toll on these motors because that is where it is coming from, again I sound like a whiny bitch but sorry boys it is a major issue in my opinion and I wish the best of luck to you Cat owners that have them, maybe you got a good one.
You should try some other forums, its not all doom and gloom everywhere.

What do you guys do to your secondaries I have never lost a roller in 15 different sleds

I've seen them fail with as little as a few hundred k or last thousands. I would say I see it happen once or twice a season. Never with aftermarket parts. When changed preemptively, they often have small cracks or other signs of wear. There is also a claim that aftermarket rollers reduce friction and improve shifting. I would tend to agree. Their development history is actually a result of performance gain rather than a fix for breakage.

The 'clunk' when changing from forwards to reverse and back is the play between the two haves of the secondary slamming the rollers. The theory is that being to aggressive when doing so contributes to their breakage. I feel this has some merit as they often break after a stuck.

That's a pretty gnarly route they took Jerry on. A couple very high consequence spots. Can't say I blame him for being annoyed, but he sure kept up!
We eyed up going down that gully a couple seasons ago. Thought the way they dropped in would have been the easy way out. 😬

Yeah that’s always tough when you look around in the group to see who the weak link is getting out of gnarly stuff and everyone is looking at you! 😂

Not so much the climb segment, but some of the other spots are pretty exposed. Camera doesn't really show it.

Surprising to see our shovel in from a couple weeks ago was still a bit intact.
