I am running a team tied on my doo and don't have to worry about rollers

It’s really disappointing that after all these years, doo still can’t use a roller that lasts. They’re a real pain in the ass to change too.
One of the first things I change on all my sleds and keep a spare set of hi-torques in my tool box.

Coincidentally, my 2.5mm pin punch just arrived today:

Enjoyed this video, makes me glad I am running a team tied on my doo and don't have to worry about rollers, that 858 is just a pile of junk, I wonder how many times they are gonna suffer with that sled before it gets turfed ha ha, take your losses now cuz its only gonna get worse boys!

Tell us what you really think of the Catalyst 858?

My sons 858 would not run. His was a blue one with the big gauge. His buddies were black ones with small gauge. They work just fine. His is now a 24 9r 155. Not sure what the dealer did or what it cost difference but he pulled the pin after 2 wrecked weekends of not running 858.

I think so too. At first the dealer thought it was a cylinder down as one was lower compression. Upon further inspection they think the power valve was stuck on that cylinder. They weren’t sure and were not confident on getting parts they needed and were not to sure what was causing it exactly. They had the 9R on the floor and he’s headed on a week long trip Friday so they came up with some sort of deal. Not sure what it was exactly.

Did you cry this hard with all the other duds out there over the years from the other brands? Or just have a hard on for Cat? We get it, you dont like the 858.

Oh I think when things are happening with all brands people chime in with their thoughts.
Catman is just stating facts. The new Catalyst is a great chassis, however the workmanship is suspect it’s that simple.

I agree. Both Polaris and ski-doo have been slammed hard on this site

I am harping about the Cat, really just want to inform people of the incredible problems with this sled so as to maybe save someone from buying one, yes doo and Poo have had many many issues but the difference is that they still have dealer support, Cat has a big financial problem and that will lead to little to no future parts even if they get bought by someone else the sheer time and effort to get this company back on track and in the game is unfathomable to me anyways. I love Cat, own 2 of them currently and have accepted that they are future boat anchors. I honestly believe that if anyone rode a Cat for 1 day before spending 23k on a n/a sled would very likely not buy one that's how bad they are. I also know of several more that have put rods through the blocks recently so the vibration has to be taking a huge toll on these motors because that is where it is coming from, again I sound like a whiny bitch but sorry boys it is a major issue in my opinion and I wish the best of luck to you Cat owners that have them, maybe you got a good one.

Fair enough. I respect this post. Just so unbelievably much doom and gloom on this forum and as a Cat guy who’s sour on the whole debacle, it’s just one more fawkin thing.
