I`m thinking of the Legion for your meet and greet. Might be a rental fee, don`t know of anywhere that will offer a place for free.
I`ll talk to them next wk.
The CAC Canadian Avalance Centre has asked me if you would be interested in having the CAC do their Avy Days presentation on the Boulder on the 23 also. Good way to have a lot of sledders particiape. Let me know right away they are waiting for an answer.

YA, I'VE BEEN FORWARDING THE PM'S OF QUESTIONS ABOUT WHERE TO BUY TICKETS............... PEEPS HAVE HOTELS BOOKED AND NOTHING HAPPENING?? MAYBE REVY WAS A MISTAKE????? MCBRIDE HAD A LOT MORE CLUB PARTICIPATION AND ORGANIZATION!!!!

I have been wondering the same thing.
Guys I have put together things for you. I have called Emo`s to tell them they have been chosen as the caterer, still don`t know of a place large enough to hold everyone for your meet and greet for free but am still looking. I could have a live band for u for $650. I have reserved the community center for the 23rd. I have arranged for Herb to cook lunch on the hill. Angie has arranged a bartender for us. I will have more peeps helping me when I ask for help.
It is a busy time of yr. for me right now. Angie is on holidays and I`m trying to hold down the fort for our busiest time of yr.
The SRS has said they will offer u guys a discounted 3 day pass. I do not know how much yet.
Ric do you mean there isn`t very much interest in people attending?
I do think having Avy Day on the Sat. would be good, more people might take the morning to become more Avy Savy. Brent (CAC dude) would make his presentation short and sweet at your dinner, just trying to make riders more aware.
Let me know what is going on.

I know, and in my defense, the last message I got from Ron was Sept. 23 about this. I did talk to him in Vernon in Oct. for a min. and at Calgary shortly but have not had any definate plans so far. Help me out here u guys.
Seriously I`m the busiest bitch in Revy right now.

Kathy, can you please check your PM's, I even sent a pm Monday the 21. The last one I sent some info on the Caterer and the band on Dec 10. I guess lets get this train back on the tracks before we have a major derailment. The revised menu is on the Menu thread can you check that and let emo's know for the final price. Tickets are being printed on the 3th of January and will be here on the 5th. I just had to guess a price.

Ron I called Emo`s they will delete the seafood and asked if they could replace it with an alternate item. Won`t get back to me till next wk. Called Community Centre for a hall price they are aren`t answering today might be closed for the holidays. Will talk to Ang later about the bar thing if u need to provide liquor or we will do that. Will also ask how much for 3 days passes.
I tried to contact the Canadian Avalanche Centre but they are closed today also. Everyone can make their own decision as the whether or not participate in the event, a few hrs. could save their lives as far as I`m concerned. Better oportunity for u to have more particapation at your dinner too.
Anyways not a lot I can do today, IT`S CHRISTMAS.

Called Community Centre, all three portions holds up to 600 peeps $310.00 $253.00 for 2 sections, not much difference in price to use 1 or 2 sections. Use of kitchen $114.25. Per Person place setting $.39, set up and clean up of hall is included in price.
I will call Zalas later today to see if they would reserve the lounge area for the meet and greet.Angie`s sister is a bartender and will do the bar for us.
Avalanche Awareness Day will be held on Sat. Jan. 23 up Boulder also. There is no pressure for anyone to attend but it will be open to everyone.
