Any plans to link your FB account to instagram? No updates on the Mcbride instagram account, but thanks for the updates on here.
Thanks for the heads up, I never look at the Instagram account so didn't realize it wasn't linked. Will get someone to fix that.

We rode Lucille today. The snow wasn't the greatest. Could use another 2'. We played mostly south of the cabin. The snow seemed to be the best there. I'm Guessing because it drops as it comes over the hill. I had two new guys with me so we didn't ride too hard. Just trying to teach them some mountain riding skills.

Went into Tommy today. Lots of fun but still low on snow, probed 135 cms.

We went to Tommy creek. Snow is a lot better but not much on the road for the ride in. The boys had a lot of fun and thought it was easier to ride there because of the better snow conditions.

Thinking of bringing family out tomorrow (Thursday)to Lucille, how is the trail and snow around the cabin? Is it hard packed/crusty type conditions?

Thankd

It was great Monday. Snow was decent around the cabin. Trail was just groomed.

Went to Tommy was very disappointed with the trail and signage there were only 4 people that made it in from what we heard
Honestly I’ve never seen anything like it 45 plus people driving around trying to find a riding area.
There were a lot of people disappointed with mcbride today.
They need more signs and maybe print a map on a sheet of paper they can hand out with trail passes. This is the road we were told to drive our sleds on to get to the area

I believe it's illegal to ride a snowmobile on a plowed road....

We went through alot of grief with access during logging too.

We are now aware of the issues today. A couple of us will be up there tomorrow to put a new trail in as we were unaware the loggers had blocked the trail that was used over the holidays. The club was very disappointed to hear that today was a mess up there and will be making things right.

This needs to get sorted out as it does the club's reputation and town no good charging for a gong show that has happened on more than today.
Of the four people from Saskatchewan that madr it in today one requires medical atention for a leg injury crossing an active logging site.
He was not lost but following the access route.
There is no way my sleds were going down 5km of that road to an active cutblock.
If the area is not ready say so.
Our group will return but not until an acceptable safe access is PROVEN (pictures of km 22 cutblocks, road and final cutblock conditions) to be in place.

There is now access to Tommy 1.. Thanks to the McBride Club for doing the best they can… with all the logistics in opening up a new area, particularly dealing with the logging in the immediate area. What we sledders have to remember is, there wouldn’t be access to these areas without the loggers! So, I say , lets be patient, they will be done soon, and we will have it all to ourselves..Lol. In the meantime, lets support the local club and pray for more snow…Soon!

Yep, tried a half day venture into Tommy’s today. Talked w/ the fella at the booth and he mentioned folks from the club & groomer were figuring things out up top. Mentioned to follow the Tommy creek signs up top. We tried but didn’t quite make it in. Second guessed we were on the right track in then turned back around to try a couple diff way where we seen tracks. Following the signs did get us close, just ran out of time to retry our original route.

Great to see the club getting things figured out as soon as the issue was brought to their attention - they weren't charging for trail passes today

If the clubs got some MBCSA stickers or something similar they could toss on the signs to indicate folks are on the route track may help w/ the second guessing - wasn’t sure if some of the signs were for the logging crew or not

All good tho, all apart of the sport! We’ll be back

Just to add to all this there was 3 in our group and we ended up finding the entrance (right in the cut block)but it was tough because the logging processor came down the same trail up and completely messed it up to where one of our guys didn't want to try to go up it. We found it around 3pm Saturday so already late in the day.
Unless they make some changes to the accessibility I would not recommend going if anyone is green or new to sledding.

Buddy of mine is there right now, they rode there Saturday and Sunday, a very mediocre riding group and they got in with no issue he said. I’m usually leading around that group and trying to get them to go fun places without much luck in convincing them lol, and I’m very average for sure. Sounds like it’s better than it was
