it was the winter of '88....I'm on hwy 88 moving a rig from Zama to Red Earth hauling an overload of drill stem, racks, and every other piece of junk that could fit in between them. About a hundred miles north of Red Earth the trunion shaft on my old Neil's 8 wheel hiboy snapped. parked it and used another we had until spring and flipped 'er over in the yard with the pole truck to fix it. the GF came by with her dog to supervise...lol

that was a nasty trip. Mullen, in their infinite wisdom, decided against sending a picker to unload my trailer and sent me another hiboy and told me to back my overloaded, leaning over trailer, onto that and haul it to the new lease. safety first, right?
