There isn’t much for a how-to on this out there.

I went with: shore power in, Noco charger plugged in to it (has recall of last setting so fairly automatic), truck wired to battery for charging while driving and then all electric in trailer 12v off battery. The Noco can be a charger or source so that’s handy.

This is similar to how I have mine setup as well. I have a few 110v plugs wired to the shore power too, but no inverter yet. I’ve been thinking of adding an inverter with a switch on to one circuit (I have a small breaker panel already installed). Wouldn’t be as ideal as the automated inverter/shore power systems, but for the price, just have to manually close the switch to go from shore power to inverter, or vice versa (and remember to open the switch to go back).

This is what I put in my sled trailer. Made for the cold and has the transfer switch built in. Looked at several dealers in AB but ended up ordering from these people out east for much less.. It will also charge your batteries when plugged in.

Well I removed my plywood walls and put styrofoam insulation between the studs

Insulated to roof.

Will install white roof paneling today and 2 led roof lights.

Next will be side window and Rv latch on side door.

My idea for power from generator is a Rv style outside plug.

Will use electric heaters inside

How'd ya make out with the roof? Looking to do similar and you have any pics of the heaters? what size are you using?

Roof turned out great. 2 electric heaters work really good. Decided to purchase a Chinese diesel heater as well. Amazon delivered today. So will install that as well. Probably won’t need a ton of electric on.

Roof is 1 inch styrofoam and then white panels.
Then added 1 x4 around outside as well as panel joints.
Now all insulated a few weeks ago when we had the minus 18. We tried with the 2 electric heaters. Was nice and warm.

only use is 2-4 times a year as deck is best for where we ride 95% of time

Will do. We hunt and winter camp in our enclosed. And sxs ride.

Ouch you paid good for that one, Ron bought the same one when I bought mine, his I think was 269.00, mine was 229.00 although mines a bit different.

For what it’s worth, as soon as mines installed in ordering a second one for that reason.I know several people who have had nothing but good luck with them.

The prices are all over the place on the heaters. But for under 300.00. If you get 4 or 5 years out of them.

I think moving air is the key, my 15k btu propane pumps the heat but the little blower doesn’t move it far... icy floor is my problem now. I need to insulate better and maybe wall mount a couple Electric fans/heaters when everything gets wired up.

probably should spray foam the Underside of the floor in the summer?

The biggest improvement I did on my enclosed is to go with floor heat, And if you are even remotely thinking of floor heat spray foam the floor after, I had my floor spray foamed then a few years later decided on floor heat, would have been way easer to do it before hand,, but now that I have floor heat,,, wow is it nice, no cold feet when you wake up, if someone sleeps on an air mattress they are warm,,, sleds dry off great

Brooms... I need an indestructible push broom that you can chip a little ice with and it doesn’t explode in your hands...

and a good way to wall mount it!

Ran 1/4 copper tubing every 6 inches where we used a router to cut grooves in the floor ( I would go 4 inches if I did it again) then covered floor in epoxy coating ( would have liked to put tubing under floor then spray foam but the floor was already spray foamed) Installed a webasto circulating heater to heat the glycol and circulate it to a small holding tank then a small thermostatically controlled pump to circulate it in the floor,,, Anything above - 10 ( depending on wind ) main furnace never cuts in
Only problem I had was that the company I had do the floor epoxy did a **** job they left grooves in the floor when they said it would be even.
Was told by a buddy that is in industrial heating and a/c that heat trace would not be hot enough, or take way to much power
