Mine starts almost 3weeks ago, I was having an issue with my 2012 rmk and had herd good things from a friend about Mountain Toys in Cochrane. So I phoned them up and told the fella that answered the phone the issue I was having and he said to bring the machine in on that Saturday and that they would get it in right away so that I wouldn't be without a machine long which I thought was great! I took the sled in and the girl working the front desk was far from pleasant but took my info and had me unload the sled and take it to the back yard. I called towards the end of the following week and they told me they hadn't looked at the sled yet but will be the following week, so I hadn't heard back from them and called on that Friday to which the girl that answered the phone said that they were down to one tech and that they probably wouldn't be able to look at it until the end of the following week???. That would have been 3 weeks before they even looked at the sled which I think is crazy and then who knows how long to fix? I then called the local cycle works dealer in Calgary that same Friday and they booked me in for the following business day at noon. I went to Mountain Toys walked up to the front desk and told one of the two girls that I was there to pick up my sled she started to look it up and I told her that it hadn't been worked on and that it had been there for over 2 weeks and I was just going to take it away, she said its out back go ahead. I went loaded the sled and couldn't believe the lack of service! I have never ever dealt with that before with any other business in my life very disappointing, and if I was the owner of that dealership I would re-train the two women that work his front desk or get rid of them!
I hope the experience I have with Cycle works is a whole lot better than Mountain toys!!!
Please understand the purpose of this thread is to inform others of the experience we have all had with different dealers both good and bad. It all helps us make informed decisions about where we spend our money and support the dealerships that do a good job and offer good service.

I bought my 2013 rmk pro from Roger at Motion Motorsports Been good to me bought it over the phone went there Keith the mechanic loaded it up for me straped it down and was gone in and out 5 mins :):):):):):)

I bought my non-current M1000 from Terry at T&T. He was great to deal with over phone/email/S&M as I was living in Manitoba at the time. Great deal and great person to phone if you have problems or questions. I havent needed much for parts (weights and tarp etc) but I phone him up and he puts in on the bus or whatever is cheap and fast. Even gave me his cell number as he was going to McBride and I was going to Vale, if I needed parts he was two days behind me.

I also buy some stuff from Trent at Martin, he gives me a great price and is always helping out the sledding community. Its just to bad he works at a Doo dealership ;)


I am yet to find a decent dealership in the Calgary area, but I will keep looking.

Turple Brothers-Red Deer.
Went in one time to order winch parts for my Warn. One book which used the same P/N as Warn was $104, the other which was the exact same part just a different # was $38. They ordered it in and when I went to pay for it they were going to charge me $104. When I asked why when the other book said $38 I was told by the manager that it's too hard to put the other suppliers P/N in. As soon as he finishes telling me that the chick goes I just put it in there so we now have both. I said so there you go so your gonna charge me more just cause you can then to which he replies yup pretty much. Nice. Suck it TB!!

Snow checked my XM there through Roger and my sled showed up in the first week of Oct. I haven't been able to get home long enough to get up there since and Roger was good enough to take a deposit and register it with BRP so I don't lose the 3 year warranty. He's still hanging onto it for me awaiting full payment and to sign all the paperwork and I will be picking it up by the end of this week finally. Not too many dealers would do that for a guy these days considering I have never set foot in that store before I did the snow check. He has my business locked!

I was really impressed by Motortech (Doo dealer) in Golden a few weeks ago had new to me sled out (08 XP) had a few issues called them they stayed late to help me out wouldnt even accept $ so I dropped themoff a case of beer. GSR or Mountain Motorsports (cat and yammy dealer) has also been really good to me really good people at both places I have yet to recieve service In Alberta like I have at either one of those places. Not saying all places in Alberta dont care as much just the places I have tried in the past.

I have heard from many many doo owners that Randy at Motor tech in Golden is great to deal with, I phoned him a few years ago for some advice on a sled and he was very helpful.

I am yet to find a decent dealership in the Calgary area, but I will keep looking.

X2 for T&T and Terry. Bought my M1000 there back in October. I did it over the phone and was super easy. Then I took it out for a ride and had an issue with it, called him up and he said he would look after it no problem! Defiantly worth the extra drive there.

Every time I go back to my dealer I have to deal with someone else, never the same person. (Dealer Kijiji).

All kidding aside It was out of season and I wanted to install tethers on both my sleds. Went to Cycle Works Motorsports (Polaris dealer) and when I asked about purchasing some tethers for my sleds the parts guy said go away and come back in a few months..... I went away, and never went back.......

In the middle of buying a 2013 proclimb 800 153 from ralphs here in calgary. So far I have been very impressed with the service and the way they handled my non running mxz trade in. Excited to pick up the sled on wed. I'll post some pics when I pick it up!

Long time members will know already where I'm coming from, eh!

Mr. R's in Lethbridge is my dealer of choice due to service, pricing, honesty, and reliability. I am 2 hours away and can pretty much book an appointment for a certain day, have the machine there in the morning and out by 5:00 pm. Haven't let me down in 5 years and we all know the problems of the 2008 XP.

Good ol' Ken was a great owner/operator and he passed a lot of his seasoned tricks down to Ryan and Tyler. With there great staff of Will, Tyler, and Geoff that shop, "the best little shop on the prairies", is just a great place.

I used to have good service at Bow Cycle South with Kirsty and Luke (I think that was his name, been a while), but they are both gone and the service and my deals have gone downhill since.

Trent at Martin is great from the small experience I've had with him. If I buy a new doo I'd get it from Trent for sure because of service.

Chunk Motorsports was the worst experience of my life.

Trevor from Bruce's Polaris and RV in Medicine Hat is always helpful when I've called or asked him questions about pro's. If I bought a new pro I'd buy it here for sure.

Darren at All Season's Motorsports in Cranbrook is awesome even tho I don't have a cat he's let me bring my sled in there to wrench on it when I've been in town. Great staff and set of people there for sure.

JC at Cycleworks in Okotoks is wicked to deal with. Got some gear from him this season and he was awesome.

Trent at Walt Healy always friendly, knowledgeable and fun to hang around. He steered me in the right direction for some good boots this year, let me blow off an avy vest to make sure it worked with my neck brace and is always smiling. Bought a bunch of gear off him this year, and probably more today.

I really have had good experience with a lot of different dealers, and have no real complaints about any of them except Chunk. Bow Cycle South just hasn't been the same since the parts people I liked left. Lots of good dealers around, lots of friendly sled loving people that are good to their fellow sledders for sure.

In regards to Ski-Doo shutting down the smaller dealers that is going to result in more complaints about poor Ski-Doo dealer service. I know that I will be looking at a different brand when it comes time for a new sled.

Full throttle motorsports out of quesnel BC small cat dealer, brad is awesome bent over backwards to keep us on cat and his service is awesome i have had ltos of same day sevice which is fantastic when you are strapped and notice an issue with your clutch. they are the big reason we are still on cats highly recommend him to anyone.

I've had one minor negative experience at Cycle Works ordering a part. Charged me for shipping which I don't agree with. Their service side has been great to deal with, especially Jamie. I'm hoping that CW Foothills is just as good since they are much closer and I plan on going there from now on. I've stopped in a few times, checked out the open house, ordered some bellows and so far so good.

Wow... I have had just the opposite at Mountain Toys!! I've seen the owner (Scott) take parts off of sleds on the show room floor and lend out his personal sled a time or two to help get folks back on the snow. I do all of my own repairs/service other than warranty work so can't really comment on the service, but I do know that they are a little short staffed in the back lately as one tech is on holidays and another packed up his tools and went north to the oil patch so they may be scrambling a little in the mechanics bay!!! sorry for your bad experience!!

That shouldn't be allowed. I'd loose my chit if I knew my brand new sled on the showroom floor was being whored out like pick your part.

Depends on the part. If its a whole clutch, have at'er. If its a piece of a bigger component, no way.

Well I dropped the sled off at cycle works today so we will see? I hope the experience is better than the last, I have dealt with them before with Kim parts only so I hope the service dept. is good? I will let you all know soon.... Hopefully!... Lol
