Not really...step outside any lounge to the smoking area now and smell weed. Nobody seems to care that it's still illegal, including cops.

Not what I ment but yes your right. I do not take my kids to the lounge so they would not be exposed to it there, so that example does not bug me.
As of right Now I do not see people openly walking around on sidewalks smoking up like cigarettes.

I can say from personal experience no negative effects what so ever, some people may. Maybe a couple lbs overweight due to always having an appetite lol. Legal pot is a good thing as it should free up the courts from minor possession charges all the way up to possession with intent to distribute charges. Also creates jobs, brings in more taxable revenue that has slipped under the radar all these years ( not that I like taxes but its the way of cigs and booze in Canada). People are still gonna sell pot illegally in places where there is no dispensaries but having shops will put almost all small time dealers outta business as their product wont hold a match to legal dispensary quality. Medical grade pot is cleaner, better quality and you can really focus in what you want out of the flower. For example certain strains are better for helping people sleep (high thc indicas are good for that), higher cbd lower thc strains for pain and swelling management, low thc means less psycho active effects so you dont get stoned but just feel a bit better. Cbd's have been proven over and over to help with muscle recovery and dealing with inflammation as well it can help with cancer patients for nausea and appetite loss from chemo treatments. You can get Sativa strains for more of a mellow high but not near the burnout of indicas, maintain energy and improve overall mood. Also opens the door for people who have lung issues and cant smoke as there will be tons of different edibles and vaping products available now that are made in a controlled environment so the potency can be controlled and made more consistent per portion. The legality will also help with R/D and will allow private labs, not just gov't labs to start breaking down the different components of the plant and really dig deep into the benefits of the whole plant and not just the flower portion. People talk about the impaired driving aspects and ya there may be more cases of that but not necessarily due to more people smoking and driving, cops will be watching for it more as well as the general public so its gonna increase the stats. Drunk drivers are around and always have been and people still welcome getting wasted like its part of life. I could go on and on

So you just proved my point on only legalizing medical marijuana, the argument that I keep hearing of all the medical benefits from it out weights the need of a high, so there is no point in trying to legalize and manage the recreational marijuana, whats the main point of wheelchair weed?

I totally believe if a cancer patient or anyone that finds relief from the pain using it, than absolutely issue the prescription to them. BTW it did not help my Dads pain at all.

Pretty sure that it still will not be legal to smoke on the street! Same way you are not suppose to walk around with open booze.

This legalization will likely not affect or change your life in anyway.

Why is it ok to smoke a cigarette but yet say if pot is bad for me? Why is it ok to get smashed in the bar, be hung over puking and useless the next day but smoking a joint or 4 and feeling fine in a few hours is bad?

Pot is not good for kids, sure but neither is booze or smokes so why the fear? You think kids havnt been smoking pot since the 70's???

Worried about gummies and kids? Don't leave them laying around. They won't be going in and buying them just like they can't buy smokes or booze.

Good or bad for you it is a personal choice and I should be able make that choice.

I have never been in trouble when high but Every time I have been in trouble I have been drunk.....

Well I hope you are right, guess time will tell I spose. There is not alot of info on how this is going to be managed right now.

Wherever people smoke it now, I hope they keep up that practice and respect their neighbors.
Since there is comparisons to other products in this thread here is mine, When I crack a beer the neighbors do not smell it, lol.

And I could have a single puff and not be high, just enough to take an edge off or lower the blood pressure after a stressful day at work, same thing as you having that shot of whiskey. Some people dont handle booze well, for instance my wife could have a single shot of whiskey and feel drunk, she has two twisted teas and is 3/4 drunk lol.

You’re obviously one of the select few who’s abilities are super-enhanced by pot, but unfortunately for most people it isn’t that way. For some reason you think that everyone that has a drink doesn’t stop until they’re falling down drunk. The difference I see is that I can have a single shot of whiskey and not be drunk. Can you smoke a joint and not be high? You tell me, because I’m far from an expert on cannabis. I don’t tolerate drunks any more than I tolerate drug users. In my mind, if you need to use any kind of substance ( be it alcohol or drugs) on a regular basis to function or make life better, or you can’t wait until it gets to that time of day so you can have a drink or light up a joint, you have serious problems and should get help.

Had a severe arthritis issue years back and weed did nothing to help the pain. However, the wheelchair weed helped me sleep though the pain by knocking me out.
