Are those cabin and the overlander out at folding mountain always almost $500 a night or are they gouging due to the fire?

thinking about hitting up Brule
Campsites are $63.00 we are getting the cabins for $180 however everything is full everywhere now right through hinton, crews are staying in Edson now they are saying. We are getting a special contractor rate. I should bring the razor

The one shell was open in town today. Was interesting this morning heading in at 7 am, bumper to bumper traffic. A bit un-organized with no signage as we had to enter into Jasper on the west side. We started at Pine Bungalows just southeast of Jasper, lots of char and ash in inside. We have not looked at any units in and around jasper that are Ok.

Also that folding mountain brewery has a 10 out of 10 restaurant, great menu, excellent food, huge portions.

If Ron if giving a place 10/10 it has to be extremely good. I've known him long enough to know he's hard to please with restaurants. I'll be adding this place to my places to visit

I am sure the Feds will be able to offer up subsidy's to the business's to rebuild and use the very workers they employ as the backbone for the rebuilding process. Or simply ship them home and bring in a new boatload of replacements while paying them 50% of min wage and getting the sovereign people to foot the rest. Just like the new building going on in this province/a few others with 50-70% subsidy going to the business that hires the boatload and makes them "Tradesmen/women on the spot" while getting the sovereigns to pay most of it.;):(
I lived in Jasper for a bit. Those apartment buildings that are burnt are critical. Half are used for staff accommodations and many owned by the hotels.

the folks that own Grove RV own a pile of hotels and staff accomodations in Jasper, I haven't heard how much of their stuff was affected. My sister works @ Grove.....

Look at this dump, Does it look like it belongs in rich man land? Oprah wanted it to burn down so she could build a casino

Just did a hotshot from grand cache to hinton
HWy is def closed west of HWY 40 at night. There are 2 trucks in the middle of the road west bound with flashers on. I went around and booted it back up the 40.

The answer is the Canadair CL-415. Canadian made, modern, versatile, high performance and has a very good reputation. Several provinces have them already. Why BC, Alberta or the federal gov't hasn't jumped on the bandwagon and buy some is beyond me. How about we use some of that carbon tax money.
As much as you guys love the CBC, this article pretty much sums it up.
Isn’t that the model that 50% of planes ever built have been destroyed in a crash killing the pilot. Yes, low production numbers and very, very sketchy job to perform, but fun statistic nonetheless.

Just drove through for the first time. Having a hard time understanding how they couldn’t hold that 100 meter line where it jumped the road

Heard from a good source not a single bomber and no retardant was used.

Wasn’t the wind gusting to like 100 kph in the area during the big fire spread? People have selective memory and look for conspiracy in everything.

I remember that it was windy at one point and planes couldn’t safely fly. Don’t remember which day it was though. It was earlier in the fires run

It's not a conspiracy that our federal government neglects these parks to the point of extreme fire hazard, then I guarantee you they'll use this to push there climate change agenda.
