Running a four generation farm we have a realetivly decent logs of moisture and temps threw the years backing from the late 1800s.. What we have seen in the last decade is pretty spectacular for weather patterns on the farm, we have seen such extremes that none of our records have ever shown before, last year was the least rain we ever had.. This year we had the most ever recorded on the farm

understand that the last century is a spit in the bucket when it comes to earths life overall, but we have broke many records lately with out question and it seams it's only envolves warmer temps, and the effects they make

with glaciers disappearing at a alarming rate, this needs more than people's oppions, we have no time to lose here!! Just heard this week Alaska will be seeking a new record again for warm temps.. Today alone Fairbanks was warmer than we here
So what kind of action do you think can fix it?
You suggesting we can control the weather?

I dont normally get into these debates, but there is something no one has mentioned. God. If you are someone who believes in God, the you must believe that he created the earth and everything on it. Therefore if he created it he to has the power to destroy it. My belief is that we as humans have no effect whatsoever over global warming, but that it is in God's control. Dont get me wrong we as humans have a responsibility to respect and be mindful of our actions but i have no worrries that what im doing is affecting something God controls. Please not here to argue if there is a God or not but to share a different perspective on the question posted.

Small sample size.....explains a lot .

Good find Dustin. That is a good read but not for the Al Gore/Suzuki types..............here is an introduction to it:

Science in disagreement
Thousands of scientists including 9,000 of them who possess PHD’s have aligned against the manipulated consensus of the global warming crowd who have been caught already in such scandals as at East Anglia where emails containing instructions on how to alter climate models were sent to various colleagues due to the fact that a cooling phase had been detected for the last 15 years on planet Earth, thus invalidating their findings. Although a majority of scientists who regard climate change allegations that human activity is responsible for global warming as unfounded speculation at best are being ignored. As a matter of fact, Patrick Moore’s admission about Green Peace’s unprofessional obsession with global warming was virtually ignored by the mainstream media.
Core samples don’t lie
Going back in recent history one might recall that the first scientific team sent to Antarctica with UN sponsorship to drill core samples deep into the ice to ascertain climate patterns over thousands of years found no conclusive evidence to support man-made global warming. The UN promptly sent another scientific team out to find the results that the UN wanted. The fact that research grants are awarded to any university for the express purpose of proving global warming makes for a strong and influential reason why there is a willingness to exploit the global warming for funding. When carbon dioxide has been declared a dangerous toxin by UN officials and supposedly being responsible for causing atmospheric warming it seems the rule of physics did not apply on Earth 200,000 years ago!
Another conveniently forgotten scientific finding by the Al Gore crowd along with the earth worshipers who would rather blame human activity for less than a 2 degree rise in atmospheric temperature over more than a hundred year period has been hushed up. A recent core sample drilling in the Antarctic region revealed that as deep core sampling reached ice that dated back to 200,000 years ago, another major truth was uncovered. During this geologic epoch when the earth was at its coldest across a frigid globe, carbon dioxide, the naturally occurring greenhouse gas demonized by global warming proponents was 20 times more concentrated in the atmosphere than it is today!

Exactly, as soon as they start using words like Revenue it really shows the underlying thoughts behind this "levy" which is governments pulling more cash from the citizens. The re-investment will be 100% done through increased government jobs and government funded programs to make sure that during election time too many people are so reliant on the government that they vote communist again.

I saw this morning that Nothead is capping electrical prices at about double the current normal price which shows that they know they are not going to be making living any more affordable for anyone and are just trying to hide it. Someday the hidden agenda behind all of this climate change garbage will come out.

Bingo, they are supposed to provide basic public services not dabble in private enterprise.

Balance a budget once and a while would be nice too.

The NDP moving to regulate the power industry again is not going to turn out good.

Kinda thinkin the " silent partners" behind Clinton and those who heavily invested in this " clean energy get rich quick scheme" are chitting an organic brick right now ....!

They all wanted to bring down big oil and get in on the ground floor owning all this green techno BS & rules ...

Trump is going to end that real fast ... Hence the green pushback & shock resulting from his win , and ultimately his energy direction...
It's all about the money ( power/ industry), these people that push this ( the big players ) could care less about the environment, they just need the general uneducated public on side lol...
This whole greenhouse / climate change thing is nothing more than a failed attempt at a hostile takeover ... It has little to do with clean air !

Why is it that some of us think that the weather should be exactly the same year after year? It never has been that way and never will. Droughts, floods, heat waves and long periods of cold happen every year in different areas. The idea that the weather will be exactly the way we want it all the time is asinine. The climate is a dynamic ever changing force. This idea that if the weather does something we don't like has to be because we've done something wrong is idiotic.
Maybe we should chuck some virgins down into a volcano or something!

Never said anything about expecting temps to be the same year after year, we have seen many droughts and wet years, but what we are seeing lately is such huge swings, we never seen those drastic variances before, let alone setting temp and moisture records in back to back years..

been to a few seminars on climate changes in farming, definatly there is more interest in it then a decade ago, when climate dictates your future you watch it a bit more closely

was it not two years ago that some one swam the North Pole channel for a few miles because of open water.. Never done before because of ice

each has his own oppion thou

New report that Antarctic Sea Ice hasn't changed much in the last 100 years. I've always thought it was amusing to listen to the self important, know it all, lecturing Greenies you run into on a cruise ship, when I can't think of a thing that probably uses more fuel then a damn cruise ship, which is fun to point out. Kind of like a bunch of lower income DiCaprio hippocrites.

Logbooks kept by Ernest Shackleton, Robert Scott show Antarctic sea ice levels barely changed over 100 years

I took a behind the scenes tour with the Chief Engineer of a Cruise Ship a few years ago when we were in the Caribbean. He said they could run the ship for about two weeks on the fuel they have onboard and that they use about 3 million litres in that time.
